The movie is in English with Chinese subtitles.

In honor of Black History Month in February, the Beijing American Center proudly presents the documentary “Finding Samuel Lowe.” This movie tells the story of three successful African-American siblings from Harlem discovering their heritage while searching for clues about their long-lost Chinese grandfather, Samuel Lowe. Their emotional journey spans from Toronto to Jamaica to China, reuniting them with hundreds of Chinese relatives they never imagined existed. Join us for a story about love and devotion that transcends time and race, and a beautiful reflection of the power of family and the interconnectedness of our world.

This program is not suitable for children under 14.
