2018 Mid-terms and President Trump’s Foreign Policy

6:30 – May 22nd, Tuesday, 6:30pm

Mid-term or “off-year” elections rarely approach the drama of presidential election years.  However, this year’s election for the entire House of Representatives and one-third of the U.S. Senate may be one of the most hotly contested mid-terms in memory.  Will the Democrats seize control of the House of Representatives and the Senate?  Will the Republicans hold on to congressional control?  This program surveys the possibilities for both scenarios, the result of which may shape both domestic and foreign policy for years to come. What does President Trump’s foreign policy look like, what are the objectives that drive the policy, and what are the tools and metrics we should use to anticipate new policies?
