Pudong Goes into Full Lockdown; Puxi From April 1

It was just announced by the city government via their official WeChat platform that all of Pudong will go into a full lockdown from March 28, 5am until April . The entire population will have to do a Nucleic Acid Test during this period. The quarantine will be lifted at 5am on April 1. After that, all of Puxi will go into a five-day lockdown from April 1 to April 5. Everyone is asked to stay inside. To ensure the basic necessities of life, contactless delivery is allowed, however delivery staff cannot enter compounds.

Excluded from the lockdown are employees of public service industries such as water, electricity, fuel, gas, communication, transportation, meat and vegetable supplies to guarantee the basic operation of the city.

The operation of busses, subways, ferries, taxies will be suspended during these lockdowns.
