Aerial photos of Shenzhen "深圳这五年"航拍摄影展
If you take Shenzhen Metro recently, make sure to hop off at certain stations from Sept. 30-Oct. 30 where stunning aerial photos of Shenzhen will be on display. Viewers will get a new perspective on Shenzhen from the exhibition. The photos were taken over the past five years. For this project, aerial photographs were taken by drones. Stations for the exhibition are Chegongmiao, Grand Theater, Fumin, Shopping Park, Houhai, Huaqiang North, Huaqiang Road, Convention and Exhibition Center, Huaxin, Airport, Shangmeilin, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen Bay Park, Window of the World, Civic Center, Xili, Xiasha, Bao'an Center, Huaqiang South, Science Museum, Keyuan, Qianhaiwan, Xiameilin, University Town, Meicun, Qiaocheng North, Shenwan, Xiangmihu, Baigelong, Baohua, Linhai, Shenkang, Wanxia, Xin'an.
Giant plants 超颜值绿雕亮相多个公园
A 10m-high peacock made of plants and flowers is erected at the entrance of the Shenzhen Garden and Flower Exposition Center (Line 1, Qiaocheng East Station). Other large plant statues have also been installed at Lianhua Hill Park (Line 3 or 4, Children's Palace Station), Bijia Mountain Park (Line 7, Huangmugang Station) and Litchi Park (Line 3, Hongling Station) for the holiday.
Red Dot Design Award exhibition 德国红点设计大展
Three hundred cutting-edge products that won the Red Dot Design Award 2017 are on display at the newly opened MixcWorld. The Red Dot Design Award is an international product design and communication design prize awarded by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany.

Picasso, Dali works 毕加索&达利真迹展
Sculptures and ceramics created by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali and prints of their paintings will be on display. The exhibition will provide free audio guides in English and Chinese. Dali's famous "Lobster Telephone," a composite of an ordinary working telephone and a lobster made of plaster, will be shown.

ATP Shenzhen Open 深圳公开赛
World-famous tennis players, including young German player Alexander Zverev Jr. and Belgian player David Goffin, will play at the 2017 Shenzhen Open. The grand prize will be US$731,680.

Classical music 古典音乐会
Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra will collaborate with Chinese pianist Zuo Zhang, U.S. violinist Esther Yoo and Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan to present Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise," "Symphonic Dances" and Beethoven's "Triple Concerto." Lin Daye will wield the baton.

'The Bodyguard' 原版音乐剧《保镖》
London's West End musical "The Bodyguard" is being staged in Shenzhen. "The Bodyguard" is a 2012 musical based on the 1992 film, with the score featuring songs recorded by Whitney Houston including "One Moment in Time" and "I Will Always Love You." The West End performance has received generally positive reviews from critics.

Cara Dillon 卡兰·迪伦音乐会
Irish folk singer Cara Dillon will perform a concert. Dillon's husband Sam Lakeman, an English musician, songwriter, producer and co-owner of Charcoal Records, often backs her on piano and guitar.

Dreamshade 瑞士摩登金属乐队演唱会
Formed in 2006, Swiss metal band Dreamshade released their debut EP “To the Edge of Reality” and played at some of the most prestigious festivals including MetalCamp 2008 and 2009, Summer Breeze Open Air 2009, Metalfest 2010 and more. In 2010, the band signed with Spinefarm Records/Universal Music and released albums "What Silence Hides," "The Gift of Life" and "Vibrant."

A-Lin 演唱会
Taiwanese pop singer A-Lin will give a solo concert. A-Lin made her debut in music at the end of 2006 then quickly ascended to mega-popularity in the Mandarin-speaking world. A-Lin was often quoted as saying that singer A-Mei is highly influential to her music, and often covers A-Mei’s songs in music shows and concerts.

teamLab 舞动艺术展&未来游乐园
"TeamLab: Dance! Art Exhibition, Learn & Play! Future Park" is a large-scale exhibition that is designed to stimulate people's creativity and collaborative minds. Combining art exhibitions and a futuristic amusement park, this exhibition attracted more than 460,000 visitors when it first opened in Tokyo in 2015.

Relics exhibitions 商周青铜器展和文氏一门书画展
Ancient bronzeware on loan from museums in Baoji, Shaanxi Province, are on display until Dec. 12. Meanwhile paintings and calligraphy by Wen Zhengming, one of the Four Masters of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), are on display until Oct. 22. The exhibition features regular script and semi-cursive calligraphy and landscape paintings created by Wen, as well as his family members and friends.

Fresh Vision "新视觉"全国美院毕业作品展
Thirty-one graduates majoring in fine arts from domestic academies are now showcasing their creations. With the theme of "antibody," this year's exhibition focuses on individual spirit and attitude in art creation.

Old photo exhibition "时代的印记"老照片展
"Impressions of the Eras," an exhibition featuring 100 photos of China taken from 1880 to 1988, is being held at Yuezhong Museum of Historical Images. The photos are on loan from the Old Photos magazine in Shandong Province. The museum is a nonprofit institute that focuses on collecting and studying photos of historical value.

Something blue "用我的红包，换你喜欢的蓝色"
The contemporary art exhibition "Our Red Packet for Your Favorite Blue" showcases 11 groups of works, all in blue. Some items, contributed by locals, include jeans, road signs, toys and shoes. The items were collected by Polit-Sheer-Form Office, which consists of five Chinese artists.

Modernist calligraphy 王冬龄: 竹径
Five-meter tall green bamboo stalks have sprung up in Hall A of OCAT Shenzhen, turning the warehouse-shaped art space into a cool grove. Writing his unique undecipherable calligraphy on each of the bamboo stalks, Wang Dongling, the creator, attempts to echo an ancient Chinese natural scene, where scholars share poems together, to offer a fascinating contemporary twist on a classic form.

Video exhibition 哈恩·内夫肯斯影像收藏展
The "In Search of Global Poetry: Videos From the Han Nefkens Collection" exhibition is showcasing a selection of 12 videos created by artists from different countries, mixing real life and fiction. The videos are on loan from Han Nefkens Foundation, a private nonprofit organization in Barcelona that supports contemporary creative projects. The foundation was launched on the initiative of Dutch writer and art collector Han Nefkens in 2009, stimulating the production of artworks and encouraging the exchange of artistic experiences.
