Recognized as the world’s premier pipa virtuoso and leading ambassador of Chinese music, Wu Man has carved out a career as a soloist, educator and composer, giving her lute-like instrument- which has a history of over 2,000 years in China - a new role in both traditional and contemporary music. She has been nominated for the “Best Performance” and the “Best World Album” Grammys, The Boston Globe praised her as “one of the handful of performers who have changed the history of the instruments they play.” At the concert she collaborated with musicians from different countries such as Tajikistan and Italy, in the first half of the show and the brilliant Huayin Shadow Puppet Band for the second half of the show and presented the best music of the countries along the Belt and Road to the audience.

中国民乐演奏家吴蛮是国际乐坛上中国音乐的使者与琵琶音乐的代言人，曾五次获得格莱美“最佳演奏”和“最佳世界音乐专辑”提名。《波士顿环球报》称赞她为“极少数改变了其所演奏乐器历史的演奏家”。她借此次深圳“一带一路”音乐季之机，邀请塔吉克斯坦、意大利等不同国家的音乐家同台演出，并结合华阴老腔与民族特色乐器等元素，向观众介绍来自丝路各国的优秀音乐，使观众在音乐厅能体验丝绸之路的艺术精髓。
