Brazilian makes his 34th blood donation in SZ 巴西人Hera在深圳献血34次

WEARING an Iron Man T-shirt, Heráclito Everson Biscaia Filho from Brazil made his 34th blood donation in Shenzhen at Nanshan Blood Donation Station in Nanshan District on Tuesday afternoon.
周二下午，身穿钢铁侠T恤的巴西人Heráclito Everson Biscaia Filho在深圳南山献血站完成了他的第三十四次献血。
“It was very relaxing, no problem at all,” the 42-year-old, who prefers to be called Hera, said while he was making the donation for platelets with the help of an automatic machine.
“献血是一件非常放松的事情，完全没有问题”，42岁的Hera在献血时说道。Hera在一部全自动机器上顺利完成血小板的捐献。

Hera, who has the rare AB RH negative blood type, is a frequent blood donor and has donated voluntarily and unpaid 34 times in Shenzhen since 2013. In the eight years, he has donated 6,000 milliliters of blood and 19 units of platelets, according to the station.
有着罕见AB型RH 阴性血的Hera是血站的“常客”。自从2013年以来，他在深圳已经无偿献血34次。根据献血站的资料显示，在这八年里，他总共捐献了6,000毫升全血和19份一次治疗量的机采血小板。
The Brazilian made his first donation back in his home country when he was 18, as a favor to his close aunt. Since then, Hera has donated blood frequently in Brazil.
Hera18岁时在巴西为了帮助他的阿姨第一次献血。此后，他在巴西就经常献血。

“I felt nice [for the first donation], because I learned how to do something that I had never expected to do in my life and I have carried it on since 1997,” Hera recalled.
“我（第一次献血时）感觉非常好，因为我学到了如何去处理一些以前从来没有想过会去做的事。从1997年开始，我一直在坚持做这件事”。Hera回忆说。
Hera stopped donating his blood for a few years after he came to China in 2007. It was not until 2013 when he visited Nanshan Blood Donation Station where he found out he can donate blood in China and in Shenzhen.
Hera在2007年来到中国后的头几年里停止了献血。直到2013年，他来到了深圳南山献血站，在那里他了解到外国人在中国、在深圳也可以参加献血。
Hera has a cup of coffee while donating blood.
“At the beginning, I was afraid because I can’t speak Chinese. Since they [the staff] made my file and blood donor card, everything has gone smoothly,” Hera said.
“一开始的时候我有点担心，因为我不会说中文。但血站的工作人员很快帮我建好档案并办好献血证后，一切都进展得很顺利”。Hera说道。
“Even though the staff don’t speak English sometimes, they have an all-English handbook. It’s very organized. This place is super foreigner-friendly,” he added.
“尽管有时有些工作人员不会说英语，但他们都有英文的指南手册。这里组织得井井有条，对外国人非常友好”。他又说道。
Hera is always warmhearted to help people in need. Sometimes, he would take phone calls or receive text messages urgently asking for his blood donation and he tries his best to help others.
Hera总是热心帮助那些需要帮助的人。有时候他会收到请求他献血的紧急电话或者短信，他总是尽自己最大的努力去帮助别人。
Hera has some snacks after donating blood Tuesday.
“Another time, there was a car accident and they [the patients] urgently needed AB negative blood, so they [the staff] contacted me through WeChat. In 30 minutes, I came over here and I will do so every time if they need,” Hera said.
“有一次发生了一起车祸，伤者急需 AB阴性血，工作人员通过微信联系到了我。三十分钟后，我就赶到了献血站。如果有需要的话，我每次都会尽力帮助他人”。Hera说道。
When talking about possible side effects of blood donation, Hera said: “The only thing right after I finish the blood donation – I drink a lot of water and have a good light meal. No exercise on the same day. I never had any side effects.”
当谈到献血可能带来的副作用时，Hera说：“我在献血后要做的第一件事就是喝大量的水，吃一份轻食。同时当天不做任何运动。我从来没有过任何副作用”。
Hera tried to promote blood donation by posting his donation updates on social media such as WeChat and Facebook, aiming to reach more people and encourage them to do good deeds.
Hera会把他的献血经历发布在微信和脸书等社交媒体上，以鼓励更多人参与献血。
“I think everybody should come over here to start donating blood because it will transform your own life. No smoking, no drinking alcohol, keeping fit and sleeping well – these kinds of requirements can really make a big difference in people’s lives.
“我认为每个人都应该到献血站去献血，因为这会改变你的生活。戒烟、戒酒、坚持运动、保证充足的睡眠，这些要求确实能给人们的生活带来巨大的改变。”
“It [blood donation] really changed my life in many ways. It made me become more attentive to my health. I keep monitoring my health to be able to donate blood and platelets. It’s a very big turning point,” Hera said.
“献血在很多方面改变了我的生活, 这使我更关注自己的健康状况。我时刻关注着自己的身体健康状况是为了能够献血和捐献血小板，这是一个非常大的转折点”。Hera说道。
Shenzhen started voluntary blood donation in 1993. As of Nov. 14, a total of 4.86 million donations had been made. A total of 972 tons of blood had been donated and 1.62 million blood transfusions had been made, according to Shenzhen Evening News.
根据《深圳晚报》报道，深圳市自1993年开始开展无偿献血工作。截止到11月14日，无偿献血累计 486 万人次，献血量 972 吨，救治临床患者 162 万人次。
