Wang Rui, chairperson of Intel China, disclosed at the conference that with the strong support of leaders at all levels in Shenzhen, the Intel Greater Bay Area Technology Innovation Center will be launched in the city soon.

Wang made a special mention of Shenzhen’s strong vibe of innovation, complete upstream and downstream industrial chains, as well as first-class corporate services and business environment.

“We will continue to join hands with our customers and partners to carry out research on advanced technology, develop innovative products, and build an open ecology so as to jointly boost the digital industry in Shenzhen, in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and even in the whole country,” Wang said.

“Maersk is highly consistent with Shenzhen’s development strategy. It will continue to increase investment in Shenzhen in the future,” Wu Bingqing, the China branch chief of Maersk, said in a video speech.

According to Wu, Maersk set up its first representative office in Shenzhen nearly 30 years ago and has since experienced its leapfrog development in the city. In 2021, Maersk had 36 international container routes passing through Shenzhen with an annual throughput of over 2.7 million TEUs.

Zeng Yi, chairman of China Electronics Corp., Hu Jianhua, general manager of China Merchants Group, and Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD, were also invited to give presentations to share their investment stories in Shenzhen.

This year’s conference features one main event, 12 regional investment promotion meetings, and a number of overseas subvenues and industrial investment promotion activities to better convey the message of investing in Shenzhen and building a winning future.

Subvenues have been set up in 16 cities on five continents, including New York, Detroit, Paris, Dublin, Tokyo, Sydney, Brisbane, Johannesburg, and Moscow.
