not only in lightning storms
or the watery dark of a summer’s night
or under the white nets of winter

to travel a little, not cramped so much as wanting

选择做一棵树，仿佛就选择了一种命运——永远渴望阳光，必须枝繁叶茂。对于那些至死不曾离开故土的树，坚持显然是唯一的选择。
也许那些貌不惊人的树，也曾有过离家出走的念头。就像偶尔造访你我的沮丧、懊恼、厌倦、自怨自艾和其他一切坏情绪，在某天差点以最漫不经心的方式击垮一个人。
然而谁又能嘲笑树的经历呢？它们看似乏味的生活背后，有着那么多你所不知的电闪雷鸣、狂风骤雨乃至漫漫长夜。
还好树是知道的，当“站着”成为唯一的生存姿态，忍耐才是一股更大的力量。静默、聆听、眺望……它们以自己的方式迎接鸟儿或风的陪伴。而幸福，幸福只降临在那些懂得的树身上。
