2000年，学生保护生物学年会（SCCS）首次在英国剑桥大学举办，目前已经发展了班加罗尔、纽约、澳大利亚的布里斯班和中国北京四个分会场。自2013年，SCCS作为北京论坛的学生分论坛，已成功举办两次。来自中国，印度，印尼，菲律宾，阿富汗，韩国，美国，智利，巴西，英国，澳大利亚，贝宁、泰国等十多个国家和地区的100多名学生和来自英国、印度、美国、中国等的12位国际著名专家参加了大会。学术交流的同时，我们还举办了面向社会大众的专场演讲，获得了良好的社会影响。

2015年，我们将继续举办学生分论坛，集中来自大专院校、科研单位、保护组织、政府等方面从事保护研究与实践的年轻人，探讨自然与社会的和谐发展，同时为培养中国保护新生力量出力。

北京论坛2015的主题是“文明的和谐与共同繁荣——不同的道路和共同的责任”。中国作为过去三十年间经济快速发展的国家，人与环境之间的矛盾日益突出。庞大的人口和经济发展的速度与规模，中国的一举一动对世界的发展、环境与保护产生着举足轻重的影响。在当前的发展趋势下，如何进行生态系统与濒危物种的保护，我们期望的未来如何实现，找回人类与自然之间的和谐关系，实现中国梦，应是所有人努力的目标，青年学生更有义不容辞的责任和使命。

The first Student Conference on Conservation Sciences(SCCS) was held at Cambridge University in the UK in 2000. Since then, SCCS has developed 4 parallel venues in Bangalore (India), New York (USA), Brisbane(Australia), and Beijing (China). SCCS Beijing started in 2013, and its two editions were attended by 12 internationally renowned experts from the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Korea, the United States, Chili, Brazil, Australia, Benin, Thailand and mainland China, and morethan 100 students from 14 countries. During these academic exchanges, we also held lectures that were open to the public, and had a favorable social impact.

In 2015, SCCS will continue to be a part of the Beijing Forum. It will bring together young conservation biologists and practitioners from universities, research institutes, conservation organizations, and governmental institutions to explore how nature and human society can co-exist in harmony. It will also be the training ground for an increased number of new talents in China’s conservation field.

Beijing Forum 2015's theme is “The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All - Different Paths with Common Responsibilities”. During the past 30 years, China's rapid pace of economic development has exacerbated the conflict between mankind and the environment. China's large population and its economic development speed are exerting critical influences over the world. Under this current phase of development,how should we implement eco-system and endangered species protection, explore how man and nature can co-exist in harmony, achieve the Chinese Dream, and attain the future we long for? These are the problems that students have a dutyand a responsibility to address.
