Were you frightened after the movie? Are you now scared of an impending doomsday initiated by A.I? Must we now cut back on all technological innovation so that this will never happen? If you felt this way after watching the movie, then, congratulations sheeple, you have fallen again for a crass sensationalist mumbo jumbo that only wanted your attention – a badly construed vision of what the future might hold without elaborating the parts it mentions, backed up with snippets of some of our favorite science fiction movies to make it seem more realistic and persuasive. There are also unsubtle and somewhat insensitive whims thrown in, such as the unneeded reference to both North Korea, Middle East, and the Islamic states.

Ranting aside, let’s actually have a look at some of the “ideas” that this short clip sets forth. The first few days of the story goes as we’d expect, when mankind finally develops an AI that is capable of human-like processing of information, and subsequently is able to analysis all the information that is available to them on Earth The A.I. then self-adapts into a system that covers the world, and takes over control for man in all major areas, and humans now fulfil the previous role of the computer in bland administrative tasks. The machine is also subsequently able to take care of mankind itself, eventually assimilating the whole of humanity through the realization of singularity. Finally the A.I, on the seventh day, having seen its work done and thought that it was good, disappeared too as a triumphant god - another forced cliché that contributed to nothing but the sensationalism.

Perhaps the only unusual idea in the whole video was that the A.I. would eventually allow for the coming of singularity, rather than the destruction of humanity, such as envisaged in movies like The Terminator series. But this seems unlikely unless humanity is able to imbue A.I. with the qualities of a pseudo-God, which intentionally is nigh impossible, as mankind does not even fully understand what this might entail. Moreover, if we view it as pure fantasy, then this discussion becomes pointless, since anything goes.
整个视频当中唯一一个吸引眼球的观念就是A.I.会充当一个仁慈的上帝的角色，而不像终结者当中那样充当人类的毁灭者。不过这也最多是一个偶然，因为人类不可能带着这个目标去设计这个A.I.的，更何况人类也永远不会知道“神”或者“上帝”究竟是一个什么样的东西。如果当做一个偶然、一个幻想去看的话，那么这片子也没有什么意义了，因为在幻想世界中什么事都可以发生。
