Aug 5: Summer Vibes Beijing Trips Social Latin Party
This one’s for all you latin lovers out there. The Ball House is throwing "the first Latin party at the heart of the city." So get ready to do some serious dancing on Friday night. We’re talking salsa, merengue, mambo – and a bunch of other styles of dancing we've never even heard of!

Aug 5: Andy Warhol: Contact Opening Party
An exhibition of Andy Warhol’s films, photography and interactive installations is set to open at M WOODS on Saturday (Aug 6). We don’t know about you but we’re especially excited about this. To celebrate, an opening party – “Welcome to the Factory” – will be held on Friday, the night before the opening, at the museum’s outdoor space, M YARD. The area will be decorated just like The Silver Factory, Warhol’s creative space and notorious party spot. There will be plenty of Warhol inspired music, pop-up food stalls and Jing-A will be behind the bar.

Aug 5-6: Brews, Eats, Beats Summer Street Party
The name pretty much sums it up. So let’s party in the streets this weekend while drinking beer, eating food and listening to music. Sounds like the perfect weekend to us.

Aug 6: 'Can't Stop, Won't Stop Dance Marathon for Pulse'
The Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando rocked the world. Since the horrific incident, organizations and individuals around the world have shown an outpouring of support. And Beijing is showing theirs, yet again, with the 'Can't Stop, Won't Stop: Dance Marathon for Pulse'. The goal is to dance, dance, dance to bring the community together and to take action to honor the victims.
The marathon will be held at The Hatchery on Saturday August 6 from 1pm-1am. So strap on your dancing shoes and get ready to dance for 12 hours straight. Don't worry, there will be sustenance provided to fuel you all night long. Dancers will get delicious food from sponsors The Hatchery and Más. Cheers and Vedett will provide drinks and Miss Muesli and Beyogurt (and more) will have snacks galore.
And what’s a dance marathon without some tunes? Some of Beijing's best DJs (The Count of Monte Disco, Saucy, Ariel, Oops2, Crystal Bones, Juhstynn, Signal, Baby Bok Choy and Gary Boozy) will be volunteering their time – and skills – to the cause.

Aug 6: Drink up for the Little Adoption Shop
Why not party for a cause this Saturday? The Local, Qmex and Plant-based Beijing are combining forces to help Beijing-based The Little Adoption Shop. Their goal is to raise funds for the dog rescue, shelter and adoption agency with an afternoon of drinks and good times. TLAS has three centers in Beijing, where they are currently caring for over 600 abandoned, neglected or illegally trafficked pups. To help the cause, The Local and Qmex are both offering happy hour prices and specials to anyone who donates RMB50 from 2-8pm on Saturday. Do it for the dogs, guys.
