Artist Liu Bolin Live Streams Beijing Smog to Raise Awareness

To be honest, the recent smog in Beijing hasn’t done much to inspire us. But it's had the opposite effect on Chinese artist Liu Bolin, whose latest work aims to raise awareness about Beijing’s air pollution issue, Reuters reports.
Liu is widely known as “the invisible man,” a reference to his photographs, in which he uses paint as camouflage and blends himself into backdrops.
But given the horrible air quality Beijing has been suffering through for the past few days, Liu decided to take his art in a different direction and use cell phones to live stream Beijing’s heavy smog.
For those not living in the capital, Beijing is currently in the midst of its first red alert of the season, which was issued from December 16 to 21.
On Monday, Liu strapped on an orange vest which was plastered, front and back, with 24 smartphones. The artist was seen walking around the capital as the phones streamed live footage of the hazardous smog that blanketed the city.
