One of the most important names in Japanese hip-hop, DJ Krush has released eight solo albums since exploding onto the scene with his 1994 debut album Krush. Born in Tokyo in 1962, Krush first made a name for himself in the hip-hop world in the 1980s after forming the group Krush Posse. He ultimately broke away from the group in 1992 to pursue what has turned out to be an impressive solo career.
A prolific performer who has played at over 200 festivals in 380 cities and 55 countries, Krush is returning to Beijing yet again. You can catch the legendary DJ at Blue Note Beijing on February 24-25. And if you're interested in reading more, check out our 2016 interview with DJ Krush here.
