Feb 28: Pancake Day @ Moka Bros
It’s Pancake Day and Moka Bros is going all out. So if you’re a pancake enthusiast (and how could you not be?) head over to any Moka Bros location this Tuesday, and Tuesday only, for some homemade pancakes. Toppings will include lemon and sugar, bacon and maple syrup, and berries and homemade yogurt (RMB15 each).

Mar 2: Chef’s Table
Mimi e Coco’s latest food project is all about showcasing the best amateur chefs in Beijing. That’s right, starting on Thursday they will be handing their kitchen over to Beijing’s best wannabe chefs. During these special occasions, each chef will prepare a 3-course gourmet dinner for up to 10 people, and Mimi e Coco will take care of the drinks. Expect a range of cuisines in the future, but for this first event a Mediterranean-inspired menu will be served.

Mar 2-Mar 12: Beijing Fayuan
A play based on the novel of the same name, Beijng Fayuan is about the men who proposed reform to Emperor Guangxu, leading up to the ‘Hundred Days of Qing Dynasty Reform’ period but whose plans were ultimately foiled by the Dowager Empress Cixi. The play depicts a pivotal part in China’s history and while the ending may already be known, seeing how it all played out on stage should be something special.

Mar 4: March Forth Stand-Up
WeiLaugh Comedy Club presents March Forth, an evening of stand-up comedy featuring some of Beijing’s funniest guys (literally, the line-up is all guys). But they are hilarious: Lincoln Van Der Westhuizen, Josh Tyas, Jonny Whinna, Gene George and host Stephen Smith. Plus, if you book tickets before Mar 1, you’ll get two for RMB100. Mar 4-5: Jing-A's Spring Fever Ski Break
If you like drinking and skiing, or even better, drinking while skiing, this is the event for you. Jing-A is supplying the kegs and Thaiwoo (a new resort built for the 2022 Olympics) is supplying the snow. Tickets include free flow on a selection of Jing-A beers, ski or snowboard rental for two days, weekend lift passes, a Jing-A beanie, dinner and party with free flow Jing-A beer on Sat, hotel accommodation and the round-trip bus fare.
