四川木里火场出现复燃 | Forest fire rekindles in Liangshan, SW China

A forest fire that killed 31 people in southwest China's Sichuan Province rekindled on Sunday morning, according to local authorities.

Some 350 firefighters were at the scene as of 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, fighting the blaze with the support of 440 people from the surrounding townships.

The rekindled forest fire was caused by strong winds that ignited unburnt trees, local media reported.

4月7日上午接四川省应急管理厅报告，6日17时许，四川木里县立尔村火场火烧迹地内悬崖处有烟点受大风影响发生复燃。

4月7日凌晨5时，火场附近的350余名扑火队员到达火场，进行砍隔离带、扑打明火。同时，紧急从周边乡镇调集440名扑火队员赶赴火场支援。在火场得到控制的前提下，对火烧迹地开展清理。

现场多名村民告诉记者，7日上午，火场上空有灭火直升机开展作业。

初步调查系大风致“隐蔽烟点复燃”

据凉山州人民政府新闻办公室消息，4月7日上午，接凉山州森林草原防火指挥部办公室报告，雅砻江镇立尔村森林火灾火场受大风影响，东北面火烧迹地内悬崖处前期人工增雨降温降雪覆盖的隐蔽烟点复燃，燃烧腐烂木桩滚落至崖下，引燃火烧迹地内未燃尽的树木，形成树冠火，有飞火吹到火场外东面林地燃烧。
