功夫“阿爸” | Kung Fu 'Dad'

来自辽宁沈阳的张家振是一名国际武术冠军，《出彩中国人》全国亚军，但是他更自豪的身份是一名武术志愿者老师——藏族孤儿们亲昵地叫他“阿爸”。

Zhang Jiazhen was born in Shenyang city, northeast China's Liaoning Province. He is an international martial arts champion and won the second place in a famous talent show "Brilliant Chinese". However he has another unique identity, a voluntary martial arts teacher in Tibet. Tibetan orphans call him dad.

2012年至今，张家振深入西藏支教七次，利用寒暑假的时间指导过近千名西藏多地福利院的孩子们学习武术，传承中华传统文化、儒家思想 “仁义礼智信”——儒家五常。

Since 2012, Zhang has taught in China's Tibet Autonomous Region for seven times, teaching martial arts to nearly 1,000 orphans here. Zhang expresses Confucianism through voluntary work to inherit traditional Chinese culture, which includes benevolence, righteousness, politeness, intelligence and trust, the five constants, the invariable truths that need to be upheld in daily life.

“小时候学习武术是为了自己的酷爱，大一点儿是为了荣誉，现在学习武术是为了传承，”志愿者老师张家振说。

"Learning martial arts during my childhood was out of love. When I grew older, I continued to practice martial arts as an act of honor. Now I learn it for its heritage," said the voluntary teacher.

张家振15岁那年，母亲过世了，从那时起开始了他的习武之路，不仅鞭策自己要坚强起来，也希望免去父亲的担忧，这一学就是十几年。习武生涯中多次荣誉国内外比赛冠军的张家振因此成为了武术新星。

Zhang's mom passed away when he was 15 years old. He began to learn kung fu at a martial arts school to be strong and independent, sharing the responsibility with his father. After over ten years' training, Zhang became a rising martial arts star.

然而，一次慈善表演改变了他的人生轨迹。2012年，张家振到北京一所公益学校进行慰问演出。“有些人冥冥之中定会相遇”，类似的生活经历使他与第一批武艺班的西藏孤儿们结缘。

However an occasional show changed his life. In 2012, Zhang performed at a public welfare school in Beijing. "Our paths crossed," said Zhang. He and his first group of Tibetan students learning martial arts established a connection with each other.

“这批孩子印象当中对武术是模糊的。我表演完以后他们那种好奇、跃跃欲试想学的感觉就触动了我，”张家振回忆说。  

"These students had a very vague impression of martial arts. After I finished my performance, the children's curiosity in and eagerness towards learning martial arts deeply touched me," Zhang recalled.

随后，他决定留在公益学校教孩子们学习武术，担任15名西藏孤儿们的班主任，班级叫西藏武艺班。武艺班的西热多吉说，在公益学校不仅跟阿爸学习武术，更重要的是“阿爸和学校教我们怎样做人，做一个对自己、他人和社会有用的人。”

Then he decided to teach children martial arts at the school and became a head teacher for the class of 15 Tibetan orphans. Xire Duoji, one of the 15 Tibetan children, said he not only studied martial arts with his dad, but also learned how to be a useful person for himself, others and the society with the instruction of Zhang and the school.

五年后，15名武艺班的孩子全部考入大学。此时，坚守支教一线七年的武术教师张家振有一个新愿望。他希望西藏武艺班的孩子们回到自己家乡的福利院担任支教老师，和他一同参与支教活动。

Five years later, all 15 Tibetan orphans in Zhang's class became collage freshmen. Now he has a new dream after 7 years' voluntary work. Zhang wished that all his 15 Tibetan students return to the welfare house in their hometown to be voluntary teachers working with him.

今年是中华人民共和国成立70周年，张家振计划给福利院的孩子们组织一次教学成果汇报演出，编排《少年中国》武术表演，带领他们在布达拉宫广场完成演出。这个活动得到所有武艺班学生们的支持。他们从各地聚集到拉萨，回到阿爸身边，利用近一个月的时间指导50多名福利院零基础的孩子们学习武术。

This year marks 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Zhang planed to lead Tibetan orphans to perform "Youth of China", a martial arts show in front of the Potala Palace. This special voluntary work gets all 15 Tibetan students' support as they came back to Lhasa and reunited with Zhang, teaching over 50 Tibetan orphans to learn kung fu near a month. 

对于张家振来说，支教不光是传授孩子们武术文化，更是传递一种“仁爱精神”给孩子们。他告诉孩子们自己编导的武艺节目《承仁》的寓意，“承代表继承和传承，仁代表仁爱，能爱人即为仁”。“每个人都有自己的长处，把你的长处传递给需要的人，这就是仁爱精神”。

The purpose of voluntary work for Zhang Jiazhen is not only spreading martial arts culture but also expressing the spirit of kindness to children. "Everyone has strengthens. Pass yourself advantage on people in need, which is the spirit of love," said Zhang.

支教七年的过程中，张家振认为孩子们带给他的要远远多于他的付出。一路走来，他真正看到孩子们内心的力量。“其实每个孩子内心都有一种潜能，就看我们怎么样去引导和激发他。”

Zhang said "what children have brought to us is much more than what we have given them". He has witnessed these children's inner power through the whole journey of voluntary teaching. "Every child has hidden potentials. It's up to us to lead and motivate them," said him.

2019年8月8日布达拉宫广场，张家振带领武艺班支教学生和西藏自治区儿童福利院50多名孩子圆满完成《少年中国》的演出。他坚信教育可以改变一个孩子的命运，不论他的家庭如何，他都有权利接受与其他孩子一样的教育。

On August 8, 2019, Zhang Jiazhen led his voluntary undergraduates and over 50 Tibetan orphans from children welfare homes in Tibet to successfully perform the show "Youth of China" before the Potala Palace. Zhang believes that education can change a kid's life. A child has right to accept equal education like others regardless of his or her family background.

七年后，张家振的武术支教公益活动继续进行，践行着“继承尚武仁爱精神”的人生信念。除了西藏，他们计划扩大公益行范围，扩展到四川、青海、云南、贵州等地区。

Zhang continues to work on his martial arts voluntary project after seven years, practicing his faith of inheriting the spirit of kindness and martialism. Zhang will hold more activities in the provinces of Sichuan, Qinghai, Yunnan and Guizhou in addition to Tibet.

“希望武术的精神能激励更多的藏族少年自强不息，向善向上。尚武仁爱的种子已经在祖国西部的高原上生根、发芽、绽放，”张家振说。

"I hope the spirit of marital arts will motivate more Tibetan youth to constantly improve themselves, be kind and make progress. The seed of the spirit of kindness and martialism has taken root, sprouted and bloomed in the plateau region," said the voluntary teacher.
