新冠病毒源于武汉实验室？国际社会强烈驳斥：无稽之谈！

近日，关于新冠病毒起源的讨论声不绝于耳，各种“阴谋论”层出不穷。其中，“新冠病毒来源于武汉病毒研究所”这一不实言论受到美国福克斯新闻台等个别美国媒体和政客的“青睐”。

美国总统特朗普上周表示将开展有关新冠病毒起源的调查，美国国务卿蓬佩奥等官员也在不遗余力地兜售这一谬论。

然而，连日来，针对这一不实言论，国际社会相继予以了反驳。

Many conspiracy theories are swirling around the COVID-19 crisis, but the international community rejected one that the novel coronavirus was originated in a Chinese lab. 

U.S. President Donald Trump said last week that his government was trying to determine whether the virus emanated from a lab in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying that Beijing "needs to come clean".

世卫组织：证据显示病毒起源自动物

4月21日，世界卫生组织在日内瓦再次反驳“病毒源于实验室”的阴谋论。世卫发言人法德拉·沙伊卜表示，世卫组织认为，就现有证据来看，这一病毒起源自动物而非实验室人为制造。

The UN health agency, the World Health Organization (WHO) says that all available evidence suggests the novel coronavirus originated in animals late last year and was not manipulated or produced in a laboratory.

"All available evidence suggests the virus has an animal origin and is not manipulated or constructed in a lab or somewhere else," WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib told a Geneva news briefing.

专家：病毒源于实验室属无稽之谈

被誉为“病毒猎手”的美国传染病学专家、哥伦比亚大学感染与免疫研究中心主任利普金博士近日在接受美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）采访时表示，没有任何证据表明新冠病毒是从实验室创造或泄漏出来的。

澳大利亚科技新闻网ScienceAlert于20日发表了一篇题为《科学家们已经厌倦了解释新冠病毒不是实验室里制造出来的》文章，称尽管所有证据都表明新冠病毒不是人为制造的，但美国政府和情报机构仍揪住“实验室起源论”不放。

文中还援引了悉尼大学进化生物学家和病毒学家爱德华·霍尔姆斯等学者的话，强调人为干预病毒的话题完全是割裂且毫无理论支撑的。

美国《商业内幕》网站此前的一篇报道标题则更为直接：福奇给“新冠病毒源自中国实验室”的阴谋论泼了盆冷水。

报道称，有美国“抗疫队长”之称的美国顶级传染病学专家福奇表示，现有证据表明“目前新冠病毒的突变与某物种将病毒从动物身上传递给人类的过程完全吻合”，驳斥了病毒源于武汉实验室的阴谋论。

文中还指出，尽管缺乏证据，特朗普喜欢的福克斯新闻台等媒体近来一直在努力推动“病毒来自中国实验室”的阴谋论。

此外，美国广播公司、美国《科学日报》和英国《自然医学》杂志等媒体和刊物也都纷纷刊文表示，众多科学家表达了相同的观点：有强有力的证据证明新冠病毒是自然形成的，而非人工合成。他们认为美国部分政客关于病毒来源于实验室的指控实属“无稽之谈”。

Many specialists expressed their views on conspiracy theories. In an interview with CNN, W. Ian Lipkin, director of the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia University, said there's no evidence coronavirus was created in a lab in Wuhan.

Edward Charles Holmes, professor, evolutionary biologist and virologist at the University of Sydney, shares his view with CGTN and explains the reasons why the novel coronavirus is not a lab construct.

Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, thought that the idea about the novel coronavirus escaping from a lab was just pure baloney. 

Dr.Fauci throws cold water on conspiracy theories that coronavirus was created in a Chinese lab, as reported by Business Insider.

Fauci, the leading infectious disease expert in the U.S., suggested the available evidence on the origins of the virus is "totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human". However, there are still some reports promoting the lab narrative in recent days, among which Fox News, the U.S President Donald Trump's preferred TV network, has been leading the charge despite a lack of evidence.

美媒：美政府欲找“替罪羊”掩盖其失败

对于美国为何会大肆宣扬“病毒源于中国实验室”阴谋论，一些外媒进行了分析。

美国Buzzfeed新闻网指出，福克斯和其他右翼媒体传播的这个具有煽动性且未经证实的阴谋论正迎合了特朗普及其支持者的口味，因为这很容易成为他们无力应对新冠肺炎的“替罪羊”。

Regardless of the science, it's in the political interest of the president and his most fervent supporters to raise the possibility of a Chinese lab origin.

撇开科学不谈，“病毒可能源于中国病毒研究所”的提出，符合总统及其最狂热支持者的政治利益。

文章还援引哥伦比亚大学微生物学和免疫学教授文森特·拉卡涅洛的话称：

"I think it's driven by politics, frankly...There was no way this could escape a lab，"

坦率地说，我认为这是政治因素驱动的......病毒不可能从实验室泄漏，

"If this escaped a Wuhan lab, [the researchers] would have all gotten sick."

如果是从武汉实验室泄漏的，那么（那里所有的研究人员）都会被感染。

美国独立新闻网站“灰色地带”则揭示了美国政府和记者混淆视听，将阴谋论主流化的过程。

4月14日，《华盛顿邮报》刊登专栏作家约什·罗金的文章，暗示病毒是从武汉病毒学研究所出现，文章遭到广泛批评。“灰色地带”指出，《华邮》这篇文章漏洞百出，不仅错误解读并片面引述有关“电报”的内容，且没有咨询任何专业人士，暗示新冠病毒源于武汉病毒研究所。

文章还指出，通过匿名美国官员和可疑文件散布有关中国“恶行”的假新闻，白宫似乎希望升级对外冲突，以掩盖其在美国国内的失败。
