BBC报道新疆又玩“移花接木”，到底哪来的“强迫劳动”？

据观察者网报道，近日，BBC再度炮制涉疆虚假文章，并使用了一张极具误导性且为12年前拍摄的照片作为文章头图。

BBC reported on Xinjiang with disinformation again in a piece entitled "Uighur abuse: MPs criticise companies over China forced labour," using a misleading picture taken about 12 years ago as the cover photo of its article, according to Guancha.cn on Thursday.

此举被新华社记者徐泽宇发现，并在个人推特上揭露了图片背后的真相。尽管目前配图已被换掉，BBC对此没有给出任何回应。 

Xinhua reporter Xu Zeyu discovered it and posted tweets detailing background information.

The cover photo was later updated with a new one, while BBC has not responded on the incident.

BBC在文中声称一些英国公司或在新疆参与“强迫劳动”，有国会议员要求对其进行罚款并列入黑名单。

BBC不但妄言“越来越多的证据表明，维吾尔族穆斯林被虐待并被迫在工厂工作…”还说新疆的棉花产业供应链“缺乏透明度”。

In the article, BBC claimed that some UK firms could be implicated in the use of forced labor, adding that Uygur Muslims were "abused and compelled to work in fields and factories in Xinjiang."

The BBC also pointed out that some British firms are complicit in the abuse due to a lack of transparency in cotton supply chains in the region.

3月18日，在外交部举行的涉疆问题新闻发布会上，来自阿克苏地区库车市的棉农米吉提·依米提，就用自己的真实情况批驳了有关“强迫劳动”的说法。

“我们种自己的地，收自己的棉花，挣自己的钱，怎么叫强迫劳动呢？我们请采棉工摘棉花，不到两个多月就挣一万多元，大家都抢着来，还需要强迫吗？”

As a cotton farmer from the city of Kuqa in Aksu Prefecture, Mijit Timit said picking cotton is a well-paid job, and that's why migrant workers go all the way to Xinjiang during the harvest season.

"We're earning money by harvesting the cotton we grow ourselves. How can you call that 'forced labor?'" asked Mijit. "The cotton pickers we used to hire could earn about 10,000 yuan in two months. Many people rush to do the work. We don't need to force them."

发布会上，新疆维吾尔自治区党委宣传部副部长徐贵相也提到：

一段时间以来，BBC等一些媒体打着“新闻自由”旗号，不经调查核实，跟风引用伪学者郑国恩所谓涉疆“研究报告”，制播假新闻，对治疆政策说三道四，造谣污蔑，已成为郑国恩涉疆谎言谬论的传播平台。BBC等一些媒体在涉疆报道上不断突破底线，完全丧失了新闻媒体的职业道德。这些反华势力沆瀣一气、狼狈为奸，上演了一幕幕令人作呕、让人耻笑的闹剧、滑稽剧、荒诞剧。

Following a recent paper by German author Adrian Zenz, BBC spread misinformation that Chinese authorities forced hundreds of thousands of Uygurs to pick cotton.

This completely runs counter to the professional ethics of journalism, said Xu Guixiang, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

外交部：新疆的大门是敞开的，中方邀请不变，诚意不变

在2月26日的外交部例行记者会上，外交部发言人汪文斌表示，中方欢迎外国各界人士到新疆去走一走，看一看。

过去几年，100多个国家的1200余名外交官、记者、宗教人士等访问了新疆。他们通过实地访问了解到新疆的真实情况，认为自己在新疆的所见所闻同一些西方媒体的报道完全不一样。 

汪文斌强调，新疆的大门是敞开的，中方邀请不变，诚意不变，但访问团不应是有罪推断式的“调查团”。

Xinjiang's door is wide open to the world, and China's invitation and sincerity remain unchanged, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on February 26 in response to the EU and its member states' delay in answering to an invitation to visit Xinjiang. 

The EU raised unreasonable demands on a possible visit and even asked to see criminals sentenced for engagement in separatist activities. 

"The visiting delegation shouldn't be an 'investigation task force' with the presumption of guilt," he added.
