纽约时报广场、迈阿密购物胜地...美国多地再发枪击案

当地时间5月8日，美国纽约时报广场发生枪击事件，受伤人数升至3人，其中包括一名4岁儿童。目前，时报广场的部分路段已被封锁，警方正在追捕枪手。

纽约警察局表示，枪击事件发生在8日17时许，枪手在作案后逃离现场。受伤的2名女性和1名儿童已被送往当地医院，目前暂无生命危险。

Two women and a girl were injured in a shooting in Times Square on Saturday, the New York Police Department said.

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. local time at the intersection of 44th Street and 7th Avenue in New York City. A fight among several men in the area led at least one of them to pull out a gun and open fire, reported the New York Times. 

All of the injured were in stable condition, tweeted New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson. No suspects were in custody, police said. 

同一天，佛罗里达州阿文图拉购物中心（Aventura Mall）发生枪击事件，共致5人受伤。目前该购物中心被警方关闭，警方正在调查案件详情。

阿文图拉市警方表示，当时购物中心内有两组人员发生冲突并导致枪击案的发生，枪手在犯案后逃离了现场，5名受伤人员被送往当地医院进行治疗。

On the same day, another shooting incident was reported in a mall in Florida, with at least five people injured, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said in a statement.

The gunfire broke out at the Aventura Mall near Miami, according to police, who believe a dispute inside the mall prompted the violence.

• Baltimore, Maryland

当地时间5月6日，爱达荷州东部的里格比中学发生枪击事件，2名学生和1名学校管理人员在事件中受枪伤，涉事男学生已被拘留。杰斐逊县警长史蒂夫·安德森（Steve Anderson）表示，在学校发生枪击事件是“一场噩梦”。

• Green Bay, Wisconsin

当地时间5月1日，威斯康星州格林贝市奥尼达赌场（Oridad Casino）发生枪击事件，有7人遭受枪伤，当局已逮捕嫌疑人。

无视拜登控枪措施

得州将出台新法案

允许无证携带手枪

据美联社报道，当地时间5月5日，得克萨斯州参议院通过一项法案，将允许人们在没有执照、没有背景调查且未受培训的情况下携带手枪。

而就在上个月8日，美国总统拜登才宣布了一系列行政措施，以加强枪支管制，减少枪支暴力。拜登当天发表讲话说，枪支暴力在美国是一种“流行病”，是一个真正威胁到美国公共安全的危机。

U.S. President Biden spoke from the Rose Garden on April 8, addressing the gun violence in the country that he called a "blemish on the nation," and an "international embarrassment." He unveiled a series of actions he plans to take to deal with the continuing tragedies of gun violence he called an "epidemic." 

On May 5, however, the Texas State Senate approved a measure that would allow people to carry a handgun without a license, and the background check and training that go with it, according to the Associated Press reports.

全美枪支销售量猛增

刷新1998年来最高纪录

美国联邦调查局（FBI）当地时间4日发布的最新数据显示，今年前四个月全美枪支销售量达到近1600万支，比去年同期猛增31%，刷新了自1998年美国有枪支销售记录以来的最高纪录。

联合国发起的全球《小武器调查》（Small Arms Survey）报告指出，美国民间平均每100人持有121支枪，是迄今为止世界上武器装备最多的社会。

Gun sales in the first four months of 2021 surged 31% to nearly 16 million, according to the FBI data, marking the largest figure since sales started to be recorded in 1998.

With about 121 firearms in circulation for every 100 residents, the U.S. is by far the most heavily armed society in the world, according to the Geneva-based research group Small Arms Survey.

每年美国有大约4万人死于枪支暴力。今年以来，在新冠疫情依旧反复的背景下，各类枪击事件已导致超过1.3万人死亡。

以纽约市为例，根据当地警察局的最新报告，今年该市至少有463人被枪杀，高于2019年同期的239人和2020年的259人。

Nearly 40,000 Americans die each year from gun violence. Already this year, despite the COVID-19 quarantine rules and restrictions, over 13,000 people have died in firearm-related incidents.

New York City has also seen a rise in gun violence this year. According to a recent report by the city's police department, at least 463 people have been shot in the city this year, up from 239 over the same period in 2019 and 259 in 2020.
