山火“布勒格”蔓延面积已超洛杉矶市
Oregon's Bootleg Fire is the largest active wildfire in the U.S. Starting on July 6, the fire has been raging for over two weeks and has scorched an area larger than the city of Los Angeles. More than 2,000 residents have been forced to abandon their homes.
Marcus Kauffman, a spokesman for the state forestry department, told the New York Times that the fire is so large and producing so much energy and extreme heat that it is changing the weather.
受山火影响,数百航班延误
More than 300 flights have been delayed and eight flights were canceled at Denver International Airport on Monday, mainly due to the smoke resulting from the western wildfires.
As the smoke affected the visibility at the airport, the Federal Aviation Administration conducted traffic management to space out incoming flights thus leading to delays.
