Kyiv resident Ruslan on March 3 pledged to send medical supplies to Bucha, a city near Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. He also said "everyone can do something."
Hou Yefan, a Chinese student studying in Ukraine, recalled the experience of being taken care of by kindhearted local people while evacuating from the country's capital Kyiv.
It has been more than a week since the conflict began in Kyiv. Air raid sirens and bombings can still be heard almost every evening in the city. A resident in Kyiv depicts how his family spends their time on one rare silent night. Although he and his family are worried, they still look forward to their peaceful days in the future.
Traumatized Ukrainian refugees shiver as they queue at the major border crossing near the town of Medyka in southeastern Poland. Having fled their homes to escape the Russia-Ukraine conflict, they hope to find shelter and safety. Medyka is the first step in their European journey. Volunteers from many EU countries are flowing to the area to help however they can.
