妻子达尔辛妮是家庭主妇,平时靠帮人缝衣服来补贴家用,丈夫斯里尼瓦桑是三轮突突车(出租车)司机。达尔辛妮表示,国家陷入严重经济危机后,已经没有人来找她缝补衣物了;丈夫的出租车生意也因为高昂的油价变得十分不景气。一家人为了购买保障日常生活的汽油,基本上每天都在排队。达尔辛妮说:“现在,我们的生活都在排队中度过。”
