文化绵延·生生不息——中央广播电视总台大型纪录片《荣宝斋》隆重开播

在北京和平门外琉璃厂西街有一座古色古香、雕梁画栋的高大仿古建筑，这是一间经营文房四宝的老字号店铺，迄今已有350年历史。它就是在中外书画界赫赫有名、被称为我国艺术界“文化巨轮”的荣宝斋。为全面展现其三个半世纪以来的悠久历史与文化传承，中央广播电视总台精心制作的五集大型纪录片《荣宝斋》将于今晚隆重播出。

纪录片《荣宝斋》聚焦百年文脉传承，通过故事化的电视表达呈现这家中华老字号如何恪守信念、勇担重任，再经由代代坚守、薪火相传，使得这座中国传统文化艺苑成为世界艺术领域不可多得的精神宝库。五集纪录片分别以《荣重书林》《宝增艺圃》《斋藏绝技》《文会知音》和《脉动新声》为主题，从品牌文化、非遗技艺、艺术收藏、文化交流、创新发展等多角度加以解读，用荣宝斋的数百年发展折射出中国传统文化的传承创新之路。现当代中国书画领域的众多标志性人物也将在片中亮相发声。

The Studio of Glorious Treasures, or Rong Bao Zhai, ranks among China's most famous painting and calligraphy brands. Located in downtown Beijing, the time-honored shop is celebrating its 350th anniversary this year. It boasts watercolor block prints along with calligraphy and paintings. As Rong Bao Zhai has a rich collection of art curiosities, the shop has been dubbed the “Tiny Palace Museum.”

To mark the brand’s 350th birthday, a five-episode documentary series named “Rong Bao Zhai” produced by China Media Group is due to be broadcast from August 8-12. This covers its rich history and cultural heritage over the past 350 years while interpreting it from multiple perspectives, including brand culture, intangible cultural heritage skills, art collection, and innovative development. The documentary also focuses on how traditional Chinese culture is passed down from generation to generation, enhancing people’s awareness and strengthening their confidence in their own culture.

荣宝斋前身“松竹斋”，始建于清康熙十一年（1672年），光绪二十年（1894年）更名为荣宝斋，取“以文会友、荣名为宝”之雅意。历经光阴打磨，荣宝斋现已成长为一家集文房用品、书画经营、装裱修复、展览展示等业务于一身的综合性文化企业。2011年，荣宝斋被列为首批国家级非物质文化遗产生产性保护示范基地，并拥有“木版水印”和“装裱修复”两项国家级非物质文化遗产技艺。

Rong Bao Zhai is a comprehensive cultural enterprise that focuses on marketing paintings and calligraphy. Formerly named Song Zhu Zhai, it was set up in 1672 during the Qing dynasty and the reign of the Kangxi Emperor. In 1894, Song Zhu Zhai switched to its current name Rong Bao Zhai that literally means treasuring one’s reputation while making friends with art.

During its 350-year history, this revered shop that deals in the so-called Four Treasures of the Study (writing brush, ink stick, paper and ink-slab) has expanded its business scope to mounting and purchasing works from famous artists, and hosts numerous art exhibitions. It has enhanced cultural exchanges and business contacts both at home and abroad. In 2011, Rong Bao Zhai was listed among China’s first batch of national intangible cultural heritage productive protection demonstration bases. Its woodblock printing and mounting skills have also been inscribed on the list of national-level intangible cultural heritage by the State Council.

In recent decades, Rong Bao Zhai has undergone changes but it has never deviated from its goal of promoting national culture. It enjoys a strong reputation among artists across the country, having earned a reputation as the “home of painters and calligraphers.”

素有“书画家之家”美誉的荣宝斋与我国诸多艺术大师结下了翰墨情缘。为纪念荣宝斋创设350周年，98岁高龄的著名画家黄永玉先生特别为其创作巨幅画作《源远流长》；今年4月，由艺术家韩美林设计的荣宝斋350周年纪念徽章发布。

To celebrate its 350th anniversary, 98-year-old well-known artist Huang Yongyu created a huge painting named “A Distant Origin and A Long Development.” A commemorative anniversary badge designed by Chinese contemporary artist Han Meilin was also released in April.
