2003年3月20日巴格达当地时间凌晨5点34分，美英联军发动了对伊拉克的突然袭击。在发动袭击后，时任美国总统乔治·沃克·布什在白宫椭圆形办公室发表了对伊拉克开战的讲话。底格里斯河的上空从此响起哀鸣。

In the early morning of March 20, 2003, at 5:34am, U.S. and coalition forces began the invasion of Iraq. President George W. Bush, speaking from the Oval Office at the White House, announced the news to the world.

Twenty years have passed. What have the Iraqi people experienced in these two decades? What is life like for them today? What progress have they made in rebuilding their country?
