Here are some destinations which are not as popular as the Great Wall or the Terra-Cotta Warriors. But still, advoid travelling during Chinese public holidays as much as you can!
1 Nanxijiang
A quiet little villige in Eastern China.

2 Sertar County
A little buddhist town hidden in western China.
