The New Development Bank is inviting applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the President.
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for assisting the President in all areas of his work to achieve the corporate, strategic and operational objectives of the Bank. The Executive Assistant will also play a key liaison role with all internal and external stakeholders of the NDB.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Provide research, analytical, and operational support on all matters as required by the President to support the preparation and execution of the strategy and decision making in the Bank.
Liaison and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders of the Bank.
Coordinate with all departments and divisions within the Bank as required and facilitate cross-functional collaboration within the Bank to maximize operational efficiency.
Support President with preparation of agenda and following-up on management decisions with appropriate stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of key documents for the President.
Coordinate across the institution to ensure that core inputs are obtained in a timely manner for decision making by the President.
Prepare memos and correspondence on behalf of the President including drafting speeches and speaking notes in alignment with the overall strategy and objectives of the Bank.
Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Position requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a multilateral development bank or equivalent, global financial services organisation, or a large corporate enterprise or the Governments of member countries. The grade fitment of the candidate will be based on the length of relevant professional experience, skills and competencies as per the needs of the Bank.
Hands-on experience in one or more areas in the field of executive-level advising, interdepartmental coordination and administrative tasks
Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of team work and collaboration.
Proven experience in working under strong deadlines.
Problem-solving, communication, conflict management and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.

Principal Professional/Senior Professional, Finance, Budget and Accounting (Loan Management)

The position will primarily be responsible for coordination and execution of disbursements and accounting after loan signing, and providing advice, guidance and inputs on NDB policies, procedures and guidelines from the disbursement and accounting perspectives. This role is placed with the Finance, Budget and Accounting Division.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
Implement loan/grants/equity disbursements, debt service and loan/grants/equity accounting procedures in line with the internal controls on accounting transactions.
Contribute to the improvement of disbursement, debt service and loan/grants/equity accounting functions of the Bank.
Coordinate with related internal stakeholders of the Bank the development of loan/grants/equity disbursement, debt service and loan/grants/equity accounting guidelines and procedure.
Evaluate and provide inputs to the Bank’s operational, risk management and other project related policies to harmonize the Bank’s disbursement and loan/grants/equity accounting arrangements and enhance operational effectiveness.
Provide professional advice on automation of disbursement, debt service and loan/grants/equity accounting procedure and support IT implementation of a computerized loan/grants/equity disbursement and accounting control system; participate in its testing and improving.
Develop professional training module for various stakeholders of the Bank on the execution of disbursement and debt service procedures.
Lead continuous process improvement of the loan management cycle.
Work in close coordination with the Operation, Treasury and Legal Divisions and Borrowers during and after disbursement of loans.

Position requirements
Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant professional experience in handling disbursements for public and/or private sector clients in a multilateral development bank or equivalent or regulated private sector financial institution.
Knowledge of financial service sector, infrastructure sector, financial accounting principles, financial reporting standards and their applications within the different member countries is desirable. Prior experience of implementing technology for efficient financial planning/loan disbursement is a pre-requisite.
Experience of dealing with external stakeholders (Regulators, Auditors, Borrowers, Government Officials) is desirable.
Knowledge of technology-based accounting systems and applications.
Exceptional problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
Ability to plan and coordinate schedules in order to meet deadlines.
Analytical and systematic with strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field from a reputed university or a professional qualified accountant. Relevant certification/s (e.g. CPA, ACCA, etc.) from globally recognized certification agencies in the related field would be preferred.
Senior Professional/Professional, Credit Risk

Reporting to the Chief, Credit Risk, the position will contribute to the development and effective implementation of a comprehensive credit risk management framework to assess, control and mitigate potential credit risk for the Bank. The role also requires periodic benchmarking of bank’s credit risk management framework against best and emerging practices to enhance controls and mitigate potential credit risks for the Bank. The incumbent will also contribute to raising credit risk awareness in the organization.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
Conduct in-depth credit assessment of borrowers both sovereign as well as non-sovereign and prepare detailed credit risk analysis notes. For non-sovereign loans, to conduct extensive analysis of loan structure, credit terms, security terms, industry outlook and legal structure with risks and mitigation of such analysis to be clearly highlighted to Management for credit decisions.
Evaluate credit quality of the Bank’s project portfolio by assessing industry, sector and country risk, including contributing to early awareness of credit deterioration and communicate mitigation measures.
Contribute to regular monitoring and reporting activities and prepare notes to Management on credit risk-related issues.
Work on the identification and assessment of the credit risk exposure in the treasury investment portfolio.
Contribute to the formulation, implementation and maintenance of the credit risk management framework. Develop models and methodologies for assessing and mitigating credit risk in accordance with the Bank’s policies and market best practices.
Collaborate in the development and monitoring of the Bank’s appetite for credit risk, and support the strategic allocation decision-making process.
Participate in the development of methodologies for determining risk-based pricing.
Participate in developing stress testing models to measure any impact on the Bank’s credit risk quality and exposure. Participate in the development of economic capital credit risk measures.
Participate in the development of credit risk management tools and process documentation and ensure dissemination of information in the organisation.
Engage in discussions with internal and external auditors, compliance as well as other counterparts outside of the Credit Risk.
Conduct research on topics related to credit risk management, in collaboration with other Divisions in the Bank.

Position requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive professional experience in a multilateral development bank or equivalent or regulated private/public sector financial institution/credit rating agency in the area of credit risk management.
Knowledge and experience of financial analysis, credit risk assessment and relevant practices and standards in the corporate, financial and infrastructure sectors among the member countries preferably for the non-sovereign counterparts.
Extensive credit analysis experience of non-sovereign lending both investment as well as sub-investment grade, municipal lending, project financing mainly for infrastructure, utilities, natural resources, telecom sectors with strong writing and financial modelling skills are highly desirable.
High desire for innovation and learning. Good interpersonal skills.
Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment. Proven ability and willingness to work in a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
At least a Master’s Degree in a relevant professional field (preferably in Finance Economics, Statistics or Mathematics) from a reputed university or a professionally qualified accountant. Additional relevant certification/s from globally recognized certification agencies in the related field would be welcomed.
