Our favourite delivery-only bakery now has a space in Gulou

From today you can pick up products from The Bake Shop seven days a week

The Bake Shop launched last year as a WeChat-based delivery-only bakery, and on the DL we've ordering their bagels, cookies and sourdough every week.

Up to now, they only fired up the ovens twice a week and you could order for a midweek or weekend delivery. You can still do that (and you definitely should; add WeChat ID 'thebakeshop'), but you can now get the good stuff in the hutongs, too.

The shop Nanshan on Shoubi Hutong, run by the guys behind vintage bric-a-brac shop Concertino, will be stocking The Bake Shop's products from today. You'll be able to pick up fresh bagels, cookies, sourdough and granola on the daily. The team also promise to be adding new products regularly.

Unlike Concertino, Nanshan focuses on imported food and booze, with a small bar area and plenty of outside seating. Bagels and a bottle of Belgian Tripel for an al fresco dinner? We're in.
