This guy just went viral dancing for Chinese conservation

Fancy-footed Kyle Obermann has been travelling courtesy of WildChina

If there's one thing we like more than a bit of unrestrained school disco-style dancing it's a good cause, and one intrepid flailer has combined both to prove that it's enthusiasm that matters when it comes to throwing shapes. He's called Kyle Obermann, and in this case, he's a prime example of an everyman's hero.

However, unlike most dancers, Kyle is plying his moves not in a sticky-floored nightclub but on the top of a 17,785ft mountain peak in Tibet. Take it away, you beanie-hatted beauty!

While fans of smiley dudes in puffer jackets will be unsurprised to know that this dance spectacular has racked up tens of thousands of views in 24 hours, there's a great cause behind his Rita Ora-inspired routine. Kyle was the recipient of the WildChina Explorer Grant 2017, an awesome programme which offers 5,000USD (approximately 30,000RMB) to adventurers with a masterplan, allowing them to navigate the Middle Kingdom for the adventure of a lifetime.

For our Obermann here, that adventure hasn't just meant getting down on one of the world's highest peaks, but traversing the breathtaking Hengduan Mountains to document the groundbreaking grassroots conservation projects that the locals there are running. Kyle's backing-dancer brilliance is only part of his mission, which this modern-day Marco Polo describes as vital, pointing out that 'if we do nothing, the very nature we enjoy will surely not be there for the next generation to enjoy'.
