It's about to get very cold and very polluted
Sigh. Time to strap on those face masks again
Brace yourselves, Beijing – it’s that time of year again.
According to the weather wizards at AirVisual, tomorrow's pollution levels are predicted to rocket to 250 on the Air Quality Index (AQI) – that’s
Red level, yo.
Remaining at Red until Friday morning, pollution levels are
expected to drop back down and remain at Orange (yay?) over the weekend. Don’t whip
off that face mask too early though – by Tuesday morning, Beijing’s set to be blanketed by sky-high levels of smog once again.
If
that’s not bad enough, temperatures over the next week are predicted to
dip well into the negatives – so not only will you have to contend with
thick smog and poor visibility, you'll probably be shivering into your
face mask as well.
So long autumn, you were beautiful while you lasted.
