New Year's Eve offers plenty of opportunities to get sweaty on the dancefloor while imbibing way too many boozy bevs, but for those of you who'd prefer to sail into 2018 on a full stomach, Beijing's restaurants have got you covered. Jing Restaurant Jing Restaurant at The Peninsula Beijing. 6:30-10:30pm. 980RMB Celebrate the new year in chic culinary style at Jing with a celebratory six-course dinner crafted by chef de cuisine Julien Cadiou. Menu highlights include king crab salad with oscietra caviar, Australian beef tenderloin served with truffle mash potato and champagne mousse with dark chocolate cream and berry gelée. Sureno. 5:30-11pm. 688RMB Kick off 2018 in style at Mediterranean fine dining restaurant, Sureno, with a special menu prepared by Chef Talib. Start things off with bubbles and bites before moving onto scallops, cod, beef ribs and a rich red velvet cake to finish. The New Year's menu costs 688RMB per person; wine pairing or an extra bottle of Charles Heidseick Brut Reserve Champagne costs 700RMB. Mercante. 6pm-12am. 400RMB Indulge in a five-course set dinner focused on the traditional recipes of Emilia Romagna with the optional pairing of five Italian wines. Promotions on Italian sparkling wine Franciacorta along with a-la-carte wines will also be running all night. Only 30 seats available. Country Kitchen. 5:30-10:30pm. 588RMB Rosewood Beijing's Chinese eatery rings in the new year with a warming winter feast that includes wok-fried Boston lobster, a Beijing-style appetizer combination, wok-fried asparagus, red bean, lily bulb and more. Migas Sanlitun. 5:30-9pm. 548RMB With Migas Sanlitun set to be closing its doors for good after New Year's Eve, enjoy one last delicious Spanish spread on December 31. The swanky New Year's Eve menu includes gratin scallops with Ibérico ham, foie gras pudding with red wine caviar, grilled seabass with smoky eggplant and egg and vanilla custard topped with grapes and coconut soup. Dinner's priced at 548RMB per person and includes admission to Migas' rooftop afterparty. Infrarouge. 5:30-10pm. 1,388RMB Infrarouge is serving up a lavish six-course French feast on New Year's Eve with gourmet creations such as Atlantic salmon served with salmon roe and cucumber ice cream, Boston lobster topped with a lemongrass Béarnaise sauce and Mont Blanc with chestnut vanilla ice cream. Migas Mercado. 5:30-10pm. 560RMB Migas Sanlitun's heir apparent in China World Mall offers a stunning view over Guomao plus a sprawling terrace bar. Its New Year's Eve menu also ain't bad, with indulgent options such as Wagyu beef with parmentier and marinated mushrooms, roasted codfish with a pil-pil emulsion and chilled spring onion soup with smoked yellow tail and caviar. Café Zarah. 7pm-2am. 198RM For those of you not really digging the idea of a sit-down swanky dinner, head to Café Zarah for a retro '70s party filled with throwback disco tunes and loads of cheese fondue with free-flow fondue dippers.
