Our mums admittedly put up with a lot, and she deserves more than the usual cold scrambled eggs with dry toast in bed (sorry mum). Treat the most important woman in your life to a top-notch meal this Sunday with our guide to Beijing's best Mother's Day dining events. (Hint: it involves a lot of brunches).

Café Zarah

Zarah's all-you-can-eat buffet brunch includes a complimentary strawberry mimosa for all mothers, plus a selection of cheese and cold cuts, a live egg-cooking and DIY breakfast jianbing station, smoked salmon, freshly baked breads and cakes and more.

The Peninsula Beijing

Menu highlights at The Peninsula Beijing's buffet feast include truffled scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, Iberico pork loin with mousseline potato and sage jus, and beef flank steak with baby potatoes and Bordelaise sauce. Artists will also lead creative painting classes for kids in the lobby.

Chapter

This lavish Mother's Day brunch at Chapter's gourmet library includes free-flow wines, beers and soft drinks as well as a specially prepared selection of roast meats, fresh seafood and delicate hand-crafted desserts.

Sureño

Menu highlights of Sureño three-course gourmet brunch include brown butter sole with a lemon caper parsley sauce, tagliatelle e olio, smoked salmon with arugula and homemade ricotta, and tiramisu. All mums will also receive a complimentary yellow rose and chocolate truffles.

The Cut

Fairmont Beijing's The Cut is serving up an extravagant Mother's Day menu this Sunday, featuring decadent dishes like Boston lobster bisque and wagyu beef filet mignon with pan-seared rougié duck foie gras. All mums will also receive a commemorative Duralex, a set of coffee cups and a 15-minute neck massage.

369RMB (brunch); 666RMB per couple (three-course meal); 888RMB for a two adults and child.

Mosto

This three-course brunch menu features dishes like Mosto's New Zealand green mussel casserole, royal eggs and bitter chocolate soufflé.

Feast (Food by East)

This Sunday at Feast, their chefs' mums will be taking the reins and cooking up their own secret recipes for a special Mother's Day takeover. Mums will also be treated to fresh flowers and a rose-infused beer from NBeer while kids can also make a special gift for her in the Kids' Corner.

Village Café

For a slightly healthier Mother's Day meal, Village Café's serving up a three-course brunch menu along with their signature green smoothie. Menu highlights include buffalo mozzarella with tiger prawns, grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce and a strawberry parfait with passion fruit compote. All mums will also receive a complimentary yellow rose and chocolate truffles along with a welcome glass of sparkling wine.

Kerry's Kitchen

At Kerry's Mother's Day brunch, all mothers will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and flowers. There will also be plenty of live entertainment with kids getting the chance to decorate cupcakes for their mums as well as play in Kerry's Adventure Zone.

N'Joy

At Nuo Hotel's bumper buffet feast, all mums will receive a complimentary Mother's Day cake and kids can take part in a flower-arranging craft activity.

Lu Yu

And for those of you who've reached brunch-fatigue, Conrad Beijing's Chinese restaurant Lu Yu will be serving up two carefully prepared dining packages in their main and private dining halls.
