The hottest parties going down in the capital this weekend

With a whole raft of brilliant international DJs touching down in Beijing, this weekend's about to go off. Check out our picks of the best parties to check out over the next couple days.

FRIDAY

Tsvi + Wallwork

Dada. Fri 11. 80RMB

Helmed by studio partners and DJ mates Tsvi and Wallwork, Nervous Horizon has become a crucial voice in London's dance underground since its launch in 2015. Splicing the city's rave, garage and grime heritage with drum-heavy sounds from the US, the result is a border-crossing, pulse-raising energy that belongs on the dancefloor.

Skober

Lantern. Fri 11. 80RMB; 50RMB (presale)

Ukrainian DJ and producer Skober has a unique style of deep techno that's seen him create tracks and remixes for labels like Drumcode, Tronic and Terminal M while also gaining him support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati and more.

SATURDAY

Creamfields Music Festival 2018

Topwin Golf & Country Club. Sat 12-Sun 13. 480RMB (single-day pass); 780RMB (two-day pass)

An electronic music festival that needs little to no introduction, UK festival Creamfields has been running for the last 21 years and has finally set its sights on the Mainland this year. The lineup features a whole host of dance music legends, including the likes of Diplo, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Alan Walker and much, much more.

Martin Garrix

One Third. Sat 12. 480RMB; 300RMB (presale)

In 2016, Martin Garrix made history as the youngest-ever winner of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list, beating out legends like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Hardwell. In 2017, he held onto his title, making the Dutchman the world's number one DJ two years in a row. And with tracks like 'In the Name of Love', 'Animals' and 'Scared To Be Lonely', it's no wonder.

Diplo

Sir Teen. Sat 12. 280RMB

One part of Major Lazer and Jack Ü, Diplo returns to Beijing for a solo set that will follow his performance at Creamfields Festival as part of a two-day monster afterparty at Sir Teen. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.

Habibi Funk

Dada. Sat 12. 80RMB; 60RMB (before midnight)

Habibi Funk is a DJ, label and platform for soulful and psych-influenced music from the Arabic world. Since its inception, Habibi Funk has licensed and reissued six highly successful releases. For his energetic live sets, DJ Jannis (the brainchild of Habibi Funk) plays a unique blend of rare and funky vinyl from Sudan, Morocco, Algeria and the European Arabic diaspora.

Oskar Offerman

InfraRouge. Sat 12. 60RMB

When not at home producing new tracks or shooting campaigns for fashion labels, Oskar Offermann tours relentlessly, spreading his laidback house vibes around some of the best clubs in the world. Head to InfraRouge for spacey dance floor sounds from a deep house specialist.

Marcelus

Lantern. Sat 12. 80RMB; 50RMB (presale)

Techno aficionado Cedric Bros aka Marcelus has been experimenting with sequencers since the '90s. Taking a strictly vinyl approach, his mixes are rarely constrained to one style or genre, with his unique style taking him to Fabric, Concrete, Berghain and regularly, as resident of Tresor club.

Electric Taco

Aurora. Sat 12. Free

Kicking off at 1pm on Saturday, Aurora's set to team up with Kai Bar to host an afternoon of tacos, barbecued foods and plenty of ice-cold beverages. With a lineup of 13 DJs waiting to hit the decks, it's set to be a long one.

Stoplight Party

Aurora. Sat 12. 50RMB; 20RMB (presale)

Full up on tacos, Aurora's then hosting a throwback stoplight party where guests wear the colours of traffic lights to denote their relationship status in a definitely not-at-all thirsty way (green means single, yellow means unsure and red means taken and in a relationship). For those of you needing liquid courage, Aurora will also be handing out free shots.

SUNDAY

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

One Third. Sun 13. 300RMB

As part of One Third's official afterparty for Creamfields Festival, brothers and highly successful DJ duo (they're currently ranked second on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list, just after Martin Garrix) Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike are bringing their euphoric brand of big room house to Sanlitun on Sunday night.
