Who will be crowned as Beijing's best restaurants? You decide

The Time Out Food Awards are back for the twelfth year running on this coming June. Alongside the awards for our choices, picked by both our English- and Chinese-language editions of Time Out Beijing and a panel of expert judges, it's up to you, our discerning readers and your discerning tastebuds, to decide which restaurants will get the coveted Readers' Choice awards.

Not only are we collaborating with our Chinese editorial team to make this year's awards as broad and comprehensive as possible, for the first time, we'll also be giving away a whopping three Readers' Choice awards to give you more say than ever before. Who knows, we might all learn a thing or two from each other?

As ever in the the revolving-door world of Beijing, 2017 was a year of great change, one that saw many restaurants shutter but also a glut of exciting openings, including what felt like around 5,000 new F&B outlets in Guomao's mammoth China World Mall. Elsewhere, from the hutongs to the high-rises, some of the city's stalwarts and award-winners of yesteryear kept us coming back again and again.

We've put together the shortlists for our picks – check them out by hitting 'Read more' at the bottom of the page – of the spots we've had our hungry eyes on in each category over the last, delicious year, from which we will pick our winners. As for the rest, hundreds of restaurants across the city have thrown their hat into the ring for contention in the Readers' Choice awards – hold the QR code below to head to the swanky voting page and have your say.

Voting is open until midnight next Monday (June 4), and we'll be revealing the winners at our awards show on June 25. Make it count, Beijing!
