Learn how to make cocktails with bartenders from Asia's top bar
Equis hosts Cedric Mendoza and Frank Hu from award-winning bar Manhattan
For those of you who enjoy mixing cocktails almost as much as you like drinking them, Equis is hosting world-renowned bartenders Cedric Mendoza and Frank Hu for a master class in cocktail-making.
Head bartender at Regent Singapore's Manhattan bar (recently crowned Asia's best bar for the second year running as well as seventh-best bar in the world), Cedric Mendoza first joined Regent Singapore at the age of 23 where his passion and talent for cocktail-making helped Manhattan secure its number one Asia ranking for two consecutive years.

Cedric will be joined by fellow bartender Frank Hu, a Shaanxi native who likes to infuse cocktails with a taste of home by using spices such as Sichuan pepper and Chinese parsley. Unusually, Frank's background is in teaching, a skill he'll be putting to good use at Equis.
'I think that I somehow still get to live that dream a little because through my own learnings of the craft, I find that I am now imparting knowledge to people as well. Our guests are curious, and they want to learn. I’m more than happy to share what I know and, likewise, learn from them too in the process.'

The Singapore-based cocktail slingers will be in town for two nights only, where they'll be knocking up American-inspired cocktails such as American Pie (Michter's Straight Rye, Mancino Vecchio, Angostura bitters and house cherry liqueur) and the New York Sour (single barrel bourbon, port, lavender maple, plum bitters, egg white, lemon).
Equis will be hosting a drinks session tonight (June 26) from 8pm, and two master classes on Wednesday 27 June (3-5pm and 8pm-late). Attending each master class is free, though cocktails will set you back 120RMB each. To register for each master class, contact Equis at 5695 8880.
