With a host of international talent, including Oliver Deutschmann, Jason Chen, False Witness and Deborah Davis, as well as plenty of homegrown DJs and bands, this weekend is coming in hot. Head out to the streets of Beijing for a weekend full of musical fun.

FRIDAY

Oliver Deutschmann

This Berliner comes to Beijing with his distinctive desire to remain uncategorised. But if you're into passionate tunes, fantastic mixing skills, and diverse tracks, head to Dada this Friday to experience the grandiose and the understated.


Must Die!

Lee Bates, aka Must Die!, is a Houston-born and Seattle-based dubstep, electro-house, and drum & bass producer. Known for his versatility and rich sound design, Bates has collaborated with the likes of Skrillex, Datsik and Zomboy, as well as having a multitude of releases on labels Never Say Die, Ultra and Atlantic.

Deborah Davis

Fusing enthusiasm, jazz, blues, soul and gospel, Texan songstress Deborah Davis has captivated audiences around the globe with her effortless charm and one-of-a-kind vocals. She's joined in Beijing this Friday night by pianist Ben Rosenblum, bassist Yashushi Nakamura and percussionist Ben Zweig.

Suanpan: Residents

Future Orients

False Witness

False Witness is an audio-visual project from sound artist and producer Marco Gomez. Exploring electronic music through a provocative queer lens, his music revolves around themes that speak to the urban experience, states of trauma or heightened states of consciousness. 


Secret Rooftop Party

25RMB drinks and a monster lineup of eight DJs head to a top secret rooftop this Saturday courtesy of cider pros Orchid Pig.
