In association with Now You See Me

Love magic? Then get ready to see this state-of-the-art stage show

Back in 2013, the Now You See Me franchise kicked off with the hit film featuring a rather star-studded cast that included Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Mark Ruffalo. Now, the producers of the films (Lionsgate) have teamed up with magic creators The Works Entertainment to bring the magic of the film to the stage.

And, because it's a week of prizes for all of our lovely readers, we're giving away two pairs of tickets to see the live show right here in Beijing.

To win tickets for you and a plus one, simply share this blog on your WeChat Moments with the text 'Time Out Beijing, I want magic!'. Then send a screenshot of your Moments post to our WeChat account (TimeOutBeijingEN), along with your name and phone number. Entries must be in by Sunday night 28 October, and winners will be notified by Monday morning.

The stars of this live show all found fame on various TV talent shows in Europe as well as previous tours of the magic production company The Illusionists. Like the movie of the same name, this stage show focuses on the four horsemen: The Showman, the Manipulator, the Escape Artist and the Mentalist. Each magician showcases their skills through cleverly designed, elaborate, and rather spectacular, stunts to leave you wondering just quite how magic can still seem so mystical.

James More, the Showman, works on feats that will leave you questioning physics. He made it to the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent in 2013, and has since gone on to perform at stages around the world. Check out one of his signature tricks below:

Sabine van Diemen heads to Beijing as the token female and excellent Escape Artist. She's been on stage with The Illusionists before, as well as Holland's Got Talent, so see if you can figure out how she appears out of thin air.  Florian Sainvet will entertain you as the Manipulator, coming in from France's Got Talent and as a two-time winner of a French magic championship, to show you that the hand is indeed quicker than the eye. Finally, Enzo Weyne, from The Illusionists and France's Got Talent, steps before you as the Mentalist, bending reality around his illusions.

The international tour of the Now You See Me stage show begins in China, and indeed, the first stop is in Beijing. So, head to the ticket page now to be one of the first in the world to catch this unique magic show.

Now You See Me is live at Beijing Worker's Gymnasium on November 2 and November 3, 2018 from 7.30-9.30pm. 280-880RMB.
