What is this? A festival for caffeine-fiends?
Beijing's very first Cherry Coffee Festival starts this weekend, seeing a two-day spread of the very best in international and local coffee. The fest features coffee world champions giving talks and demos, a screening of a coffee-based film and, of course, nearly 25 cafés from around Beijing and the world serving up glorious cups of joe. There will also be food and drink vendors about to enhance your buzz, including Slow Boat Brewery, Hotpress and Avocado Drum.
For two lucky Time Out Beijing readers, we're giving away two-day tickets to the fest (worth 100RMB each). To win, simply share this blog on your WeChat moments with the text 'Time Out Beijing, I want all the coffee', then send a screenshot of your moments to our WeChat account (TimeOutBeijingEN), along with your name and WeChat ID (so we can contact you again). Entries must be in by 4pm on Friday 22 March, and the winners will be notified by Friday evening.
And in case you don't win this time, there are tickets available for presale now:
The festival runs from 10am-6pm on Sat 23 Mar and Sun 24 Mar 2019. Tickets are available in three ways:
VIP pass: 150RMB (consists of two-day pass worth 100RMB and a tasting flight ticket worth 90RMB).
Two-day pass: 100RMB (80RMB early bird).
One-day pass: 90RMB (70RMB early bird; 128RMB when you buy in a pair)
Prices are inclusive of a festival booklet and set of festival stickers.
For coffee lovers who would like to sample as many different coffees as possible, a tasting flight ticket (inclusive of a 90ml festival mug and three cups of coffee from any stall using the mug) is available for 90RMB.
