City envy: Singapore’s Changi Airport Jewel complex

Entertain yourself throughout the night at the latest lifestyle concept, Jewel Changi Airport. This majestic stunning glass and steel dome is home to over 280 dining and retail outlets, with some open around the clock – think dining at ungodly hours at American fast-food chain A&W or food court Five Spice. 

You can also kill a couple of hours with a movie at 24-hour Shaw Theatres or simply wander around its open gardens and art installations. If you’re there in the evenings, catch its star attraction, the HSBC Rain Vortex, an indoor 40m-tall indoor waterfall and its hourly light and sound show daily from 7.30pm to midnight.

So if you’re heading overseas this summer, make Singapore a stop-over. You don’t have to leave the airport because you can get all you need in this gem.
