Courtney Barnett

Lenka

Mark Gardener (Ride)

An English rock band formed in Oxford in 1988, Ride consists of Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Laurence ‘Loz’ Colbert, and Steve Queralt. Dubbed 'the brightest hope' for 1991 by music critics, their album Nowhere has hailed critical success. Catch the indie shoegazing frontman Mark Gardener live in Beijing.



Mitsume

Japanese indie band started out in 2009 as a four piece self-recorded band. Their third album, Sasayki, released in 2014 marked the band's breakthrough in the music scene, touring cities in both Japan and internationally.


Okamoto

Okamoto is a four-piece rock band from Shinjuku, Tokyo, with all band members use Okamoto as their last names, paying respect to both the avant-garde artist Taro Okamoto and the legendary punk band The Ramones. Famous for their modern take on nostalgic, retro-rock and pop, their danceable tunes make them the darlings of the festival circuit in Japan.


The Wedding Present

British indie rock legends The Wedding Present plays their first show in the mainland. Fusing punk-rock aesthetics with a romantic edge The Wedding Present continues to create music that speaks to the hearts of generations.



Gershwin Piano Quartet

The Gershwin Piano Quartet sheds new light on the music of George Gershwin. Featuring four pianists on four grand pianos, playing, arranging and improvising on some of Gershwin’s most popular songs and orchestral works.



Kodo: Evolution

La Vie en Rose

The show narrates the rags-to-riches story of Parisian singer Edith Piaf's career through her unforgettable songs. Complemented by a visual tapestry of previously unreleased photographs and images of famous Parisian locations of the Edith Piaf era, let French vocalists Anne Carrere and Nathalie Lermitte take you on an evening through Piaf's unforgettable tunes.


Les Contes d'Hoffmann

Les Contes d'Hoffmann is the fantastic love story of Huffman and three women. Sitting in the Luther Pub beside the Nuremberg Opera House where his play is performed, the drunken Hoffmann recounts three love stories.


Australian Youth Orchestra

The Australian Youth Orchestra performs in Beijing. They will be led by acclaimed musical director of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Krzysztof Urbański. Performing with them is Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki, who has won international acclaim for his extraordinary interpretive maturity, distinctive sound, and poetic sensibility.
