Incoming: Budweiser brings Tomorrowland Music Fest to Beijing

Budweiser brings Tomorrowland's beats to Happy Valley from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 with its BUD X Tomorrowland Party

Every year since 2005, the Belgian town of Boom pulsates. For two conservative weekends, the air around this small 7.37km square space out of Antwerp vibrates with the beats of the world’s top DJs. They all come to spin for Tomorrowland Music Festival (TML), what is arguably the top EDM festival in the world. Tickets are sold out seconds after its released. 

Its first edition in 2005 was a one-day affair and had a mere audience of 10,000. But even then, it had the EDM world’s luminaries spinning DJ sets such as Sven Väth, Sasha, Armin van Buuren, Erol Alkan and Justice taking the stage. 14 years later, big names are still highlighting TML. What has changed though is it’s now over four days as well as the size of its audience. It’s expected to have 400,000 stomping the grounds of the sleepy town of Boom this year. 

This year’s theme is ‘The Book of Wisdom - The Return’, which is a play on the return to its 2012’s The Book of Wisdom theme. 

If that has got you excited enough to book tickets to Belgium, put those credit cards back into the wallets: The folks at Budweiser will be bringing the Tomorrowland Music Festival to Beijing as well as to Shanghai (if you happen to be down south). 

Budweiser is the official sponsor of TML and also runs the Budweiser Freedom Stage at the festival in Boom, a showcase for local DJs and video producers to showcase their talents at this now-global festival. This is also why they have the access and clout to pull this off here. 

From Friday 26 to Sunday 28 at Beijing’s Happy Valley Olympic Square, Budweiser will recreate TML’s immersive audio experience and the carnival atmosphere the award-winning EDM event is known for with its BUD X Tomorrowland Party.

For three days and three nights, from afternoon to the wee hours of the morning, there'll be a live broadcast on giant LED screens. The main stage will also have TOP 100 DJ Daddy’s Grove, EDM wizards NAOMI and KIIDA as well as trance maestro BEATREKER spinning sets.
