You may not be instantly familiar with Anne-Marie by name, but chances are you've hummed along to her chart-topping hits. The 28-year-old British pop singer-songwriter is deemed by Billboard as one of pop's biggest breakout stars in 2018, following her smashing global success after being featured on songs like 'Rockabye' with Clean Bandit, and working with Ed Sheeran on her single '2002', as well as Marshmello on 'Friends' and David Guetta on 'Don’t Leave Me Alone'.
With a number of hit singles under her belt, now bringing her debut studio album Speak Your Mind, Anne-Marie is set to grace her Chinese fans on stage for the first time in Beijing on August 1.
The British pop artist captures her fans with a powerful, confident voice all derived from her charismatic and exuberant personality. She’s long been known as an advocate for body positivity, and an outspoken role model when it comes to self-love and self-acceptance.
Anne-Marie's work often revolves around female empowerment and independence. For example, in her R&B-heavy album Speak You Mind, which explores sexuality and moving on from a cheating ex, one of the tracks, 'Perfect To Me', is a catchy, fearless ballad on female self-acceptance.
What's more invigorating about the British pop idol is her equally electrifying presence on stage. Expect an infectious night in her Beijing debut filled with dancey, feel-good tunes that’ll surely have you up on your feet dancing and cheering.
