Eat, drink and shop 'til you drop at these festive fairs


Searching for gift ideas or just an excuse to drink gallons of mulled wine with friends in the name of festivity? Pretend it's a snowy scene of Yuletide out there and head out for some pre-holiday shopping this weekend. Mark your calendar for these upcoming wintry fairs and markets across Beijing.


Rumble in the Jumble Holiday Market Season

El Nido at the Other Place. Sun 8. 12-6pm. FREE

El Nido is playing host to Rumble in the Jumble's holiday market this weekend. Get your Christmas shopping sorted with various Beijing vendors selling vintage and thrift items, jewelry, crafts, skincare products, as well as mulled wines and tacos to keep you warm and merry.


Beijing Flea Market Holiday Edition

Tech Temple. Sat 7. Noon-6pm. FREE

Browse through some of the best local, independent design and crafts, and stock up on festive stashes from an eclectic mix of artists and makers. As well as enjoy mulled wine and eggnog from more than 40 vendors at this one-stop-shop.


The Third Annual Polish Club and Roundabout Charity Christmas Bazaar

Roundabout. Sat 7. Noon-6pm. FREE

Eat, drink and be merry at Roundabout’s boutique store. From mulled wine, hot cider and fruit liquors to delicious foodstuffs, they have you sorted. Pick up hidden gems from hand-made presents, homewares, as well as Christmas decorations. Finally, Santa will be there for the kids to meet, as well as live music and craft activities.


Dulwich Christmas Bazaar

Dulwich College Beijing. Dec 9. 3.30-7pm. FREE

Unique seasonal crafts, gift ideas, delicious roast and mulled wine are just a few of what's on offer at the Dulwich Christmas Bazaar. Browse through over 50 festive stands with both student entrepreneurs and established vendors touting their wares.


Give a Present Christmas Market

Café Zarah. Dec 14. 11am-4pm. FREE

Ditch the department store and take a local approach to gift-giving this holiday. Instead, 'Give a Present' this Christmas at Zarah's Christmas market. Support local businesses by getting a gift of homemade jam, accessories or other DIY handicrafts, or go green by donating pre-loved gifts to the Migrant Children's Foundation, an NGO that helps disadvantaged children from migrant workers’ families in Beijing.


F2N Christmas Market

The Grand Summit. Dec 14-Dec 22 (Every Sat-Sun).Noon-6pm. FREE

It's zero waste and zero guilt at Farm to Neighbors' (F2N) upcoming Christmas markets happening two weekends in a row. The themed organic market will feature more than 50 vendors offering a wide range of farm-sourced produce, artisans foods, handcraft design and custom made products, as well as F2N’s signature 'zero waste' mulled wine and recycle gift wrapping station. 


Winter Fayre 2019

And lastly, don't miss the Hutong's annual Winter Fayre returning next weekend. As usual, they'll be serving up mulled wine and hot food, with plenty of vendors selling handicrafts, paintings, baked goods, cards and so much more.
