Yanqi Island Winter Camp

The beautiful Yanqi Island is made up of Beijing Yanqi Hotel, Beijing Yanqi Island Pavilions, Beijing Yanqi Lake International Conference Centre and Yanqi Pagoda, which combines the style of Chinese traditional architecture with modern design characteristics. A number of significant international events and summits has successfully held here on Yanqi Island. 

Jan 28-30, 2020, Yanqi Island will launch an entertaining Astronomy Winter Camp and Skiing Winter Camp, which will bring a heap of fun for both children and parents who are staying in the Beijing Yanqi Island Pavilion-managed by Kempinski. 

A three-day-long Yanqi Island Astronomy Winter Camp will be organized by senior astronomical experts. Children can explore the mysteries of the universe, and learn to use astronomical telescopes, night-vision goggles, and other devices to observe the stars and sun. There will be other interesting outdoor activities such as Yanqi Island Treasure Hunting, Eight Planets Games prepared for children. Conducted in different groups, this activity will also help build kids’ leadership and cooperation skills.  

Children also can choose the other exciting Skiing Winter Camp. Yanqi Island is only 20 minutes’ drive from the well-equipped Huaibei International Ski Resort. The professional Ski instructors at Huaibei International Ski Resort offers skiing courses to kids and allow them to fully enjoy the fun of skiing in the winter wonderland.

The families that join the Yanqi Island Winter Camp will stay in one of the Beijing Yanqi Island Pavilions. The hotels blend contemporary and traditional design with thematic decor inspired by the Chinese Imperial Gardens of Beijing and the concept of the siheyuan – a traditional courtyard – combined with modern elements.
