Beijing names 10 stellar dining destinations for late-night eats

From the ever-bustling street food stalls to a reliable chain of 24-hour restaurants that serves up anything from way-past-bed-time dim sum, noodles to even hot pot, the city means business when it comes to finding food whatever the hour. 

While there's plenty of places to hit up for a feed past midnight, a few local hangouts have grown in size and popularity among hungry foodies and late-night revellers over the years. 

In a bid to revive the night consumption and here to keep our hunger pangs in check, the government has revealed 10 local dining destinations that boast ace late-night eats, and keep buzzing well into the morning. 

The Beijing Commerce Bureau, which has previously announced measures to boost the city’s nighttime tourism and economy, has rolled out an official-approved list that gives a nod to notable nightlife hangout like Guijie (Dongzhimen), World City (CDB), and Kirin Place (Wangjing), the Shine Hills (Shunyi), as well as other up-and-coming food streets. 

Though no specifics yet on what to expect of their dining and entertainment offerings next, it's an all-round hopeful sign for nightlife to edge back to normal again in the city. More late-night pick-me-up and 24-hour eats? Yes please!
