Is Beijing the best city on Earth? Tell us in our global survey

TimeOutBeijing 2022-05-12

Our global survey of city-dwellers is back for 2022 – and we want to hear from you

Normality might take a while to come back, but we remain optimistic that 2022 will be the year that things finally start to turn around. If we look back in the last year, the city's certainly been learning to live around the new norm – even with cases still in the community, and it was up to the task pulling off hosting its second Olympics in a covid bubble. With the general return to the good times, there's definitely a sense of positivity and hope in the air.

If that doesn't make you feel hopeful again, then we want to know what will. Every year, we quiz thousands of city-dwellers in our annual Time Out Index Survey, telling us which bits of the city they loved, and this year it's no different.

Once again, we want your thoughts on the best (and worst) parts of living in Beijing. What's the bar and restaurant scene like? How’s the dating scene? Is it still as exciting and vibrant as ever? Or is it mama huhu. What do you think of the art and nightlife? Plus where is the coolest, or the most overrated part of town?

The survey only takes five minutes, and at the end we’ll tell you exactly how much you love Beijing. As ever, we’ll be using all your responses to come up with our annual rankings of the world’s best cities and coolest neighbourhoods. So go ahead, do the city some justice – and take part in the ultimate stock take of city living in 2022.

Take the fifth annual Time Out Index survey now and tell us how you really feel. (Anonymously, of course.) Extract the QR code below:
