The 1st Beijing CBD Business Dining Awards name 40 restaurants

In association with the Beijing Central Business District Administration Committee

From casual dining institutions dishing up an array of international flavours to high-end joints that impress with haute cuisine and spectacular urban views, Beijing's CBD means business when it comes to sating the appetite of hungry office-goers.

There is something for every occasion, perhaps no coincidence considering a good half of the capital's coffee shops and some 60 percent of the city's Michelin-worthy joints are harboured right here in Beijing's CBD. 

Looking for somewhere for a quick business lunch or luxe meal? Here to put even more options on your radar is the inaugural Beijing CBD Business Dining Awards, an initiative from Beijing's CBD.

Launched with the aim to help set the benchmark for business-friendly restaurants and boost f&b consumption in the pan-CBD area, this dining award is adjudicated by a panel of judges comprised of Chinese culinary experts, including chefs and WACS-certified judges, who paid anonymous visits to shortlisted restaurants and reviewed them across five criteria such as flavour, ambience and atmosphere, sustainability, culture offerings, and bilingual menu.

Interestingly enough, aside from the opinions of the critics, online reviews and ratings were also factored in. The end result is a list of 40 restaurants. Here's more options to keep in mind for business lunches in the CBD.
