The Economist Global Business Review is the first Chinese/English bilingual digital app from The Economist which was launched in 2015. Currently we are recruiting for a Marketing Executive (contract) to join the marketing team.The successful candidate will be based in Shanghai and be responsible for communicating directly with customers, operating the social media communities, bringing value-added services to paid subscribers, documenting and delivering processes and providing escalation support to marketing campaigns. The position is a six-month contract, which can be extended to a year, with the possibility of moving to a permanent role.
Accountabilities
How you will contribute:
Act as the first point of contact for all aspects of customer service, addressing escalated customer service complaints and effectively communicating emergent issues
Assist with daily operation and maintenance of GBR’s social media accounts, such as WeChat, Weibo, social media community etc.
Active in customer interactions including before & after subscription communications with subscribers and potential readers via chat, survey, data analysis etc.
Monitor all key customer behavior indicators and maintain all inbound and outbound customer service communications in line with brand standards
Document and feedback to the Product team to ensure proactive issue management of technical problems and minimizing the impact on subscribers
Utilize customer feedback, comments and suggestions to proactively drive improvements to existing engagement processes
Work closely with marketing team to ensure our subscription service consistently exceeds customer expectations
Join and support the Marketing team with the planning and execution of regular online & offline marketing campaigns or other daily works
Experience, skills and professional attributes
The ideal skills for this role include:
Passionate in social media and digital marketing
In-depth understanding of social media platforms including WeChat community and Weibo, keen interest in trendy topics on social
Clear and efficient communication on social media platforms and communities
Experience writing documents, policies or communications to an exceptionally high standard
Competent in the use of customer relationship management system to help build and manage automated marketing programs
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple projects, meeting deadlines through effective time management
Excellent reporting and analysis skills at campaign level
Excellent written and verbal communication skill in both Chinese and English
Video and audio editing skill would be a plus
Good team work spirit
Detail-oriented and results focused
