额，其实歪果仁也是很觊觎我国的教育成果。英国汉普郡一所顶尖中学原装引进我国教学模式。5名经严格挑选的顶级中国老师 VS 50名13到14岁英国学生组成 “中国实验班”。一个月的时间里，他们擦出了怎样的火花？遭遇了什么奇葩经历？严师和顽徒的对决最后谁胜谁负？

The 1,600-pupil Bohunt school in Liphook — one of the top comprehensives in the UK, in a prosperous commuter village — has embarked on a bold and radical experiment. It has invited five teachers from leading schools in China to teach 50 of its year nine pupils, aged 13 and 14, for four weeks. For four weeks, they wore a special uniform and started the school day at 07:00. Once a week there was a pledge to the flag. Lessons were focused on note-taking and repetition. Group exercise was undertaken. The pupils had to clean their own classrooms. There were two meal breaks in a 12-hour day.
At the end of the month, the 50 pupils in the "Chinese School" will be tested in a series of exams and the results compared with schoolmates who were taught by the usual English methods. Which system will triumph?

招式NO.1：中式课表+每周一次升国旗奏国歌仪式
每天7点上课，全天12个小时课程
结果：知道腐国国歌《天佑女王》God Save The Queen歌词是神马的学生数量≈零 （应该没什么中国人不知道“起来不愿做奴隶的人们”吧……）
In China, the country’s flag is raised daily in schools before lessons begin and the national anthem sung. The ritual is carried out with reverence. Here, the Chinese teachers implement anthem singing and the raising of our nation’s flag in the school field at the start of the day. Few pupils appear to know the words of God Save The Queen.
邹老师：“这儿的青少年都不知道他们的职责是啥吗！以后咋长大成人？咋进入社会？#%*！”
"Do teenagers have any idea about their duty here?" asks Mr Zou. "If you don’t prepare them for their duty, how can they cope with adult life?"
脑补学生翻白眼：“这跟我有毛关系。”
"Why is it even relevant?"
招式NO.2：中式课堂
老师：认真听讲！不许说话！认真记笔记！
学生：？&……%@#￥**
学生：啦啦啦~~哇哈哈~~~
杨老师表示抓狂：当我在给学生们布置作业的时候，希望他们能专心听、专心记笔记、认真完成。结果……他们吃零食的吃零食，聊天的聊天，还有的居然在化妆！？！只有一半学生在认真听课，剩下的根本就是在神游啊！我已忍无可忍马上就要抓狂发飙了！
"Some students were chatting, some were eating, someone was even putting make-up on," she says. "About half of them tried their best to follow me. And the other half? Who knows what they were doing? I had to control myself or I would be crazy.’
然后更夸张的是！有一次上课时突然一个女生大哭着跑出了教室，后来我才知道就是因为一个什么流行乐队要解散了神马的……一个乐队！？毫无纪律性可言……（杨老师你不懂追星狗的忧伤~）
She is bemused when a girl leaves the classroom in tears after learning that singer Zayn Malik has left the boy band One Direction."I find it difficult to understand such emotional behaviour over a pop band," she says, incredulous.
邹老师表示无语：本来我对自己的教学理念信心满满，在国内为了提高学生成绩用英文讲数学课。但是！到了这里，就算是这个班上最聪明的孩子，也跟不上我上课的节奏！在教“勾股定理”的时候，我让学生先推论证明再运用定理，这是中国普遍的教学方法。可是……
“Originally I was confident about my teaching method, but at Bohunt I encountered unexpected problems. Some of the students found it hard to adapt. When I first introduced Pythagoras's theorem, I decided to let the students find the proposition, prove and apply the theorem. That process is an important feature of maths teaching in China. But a lot of students said they found it unnecessary to prove Pythagoras's theorem - knowing how to apply it was enough.”
学生表示：推论证明有卵用，知道咋使不就OK了！

李老师表示震惊：给学生讲英语语法，结果，他们基本没有语法知识，还不如我们中国孩子呢！
"They don’t have a lot of knowledge of English grammar and I’m surprised," says Li Aiyun, principal of Nanjing Foreign Language School. "Our students in China do more."
学生表示：我管他什么谓语动词呢，学这有卵用，反正我们都会说英语啊哈哈！（实际上，有一名学生不知道swum是swim的过去分词）
"I don’t care about predicates and verbs. Why do we even need to learn this?" asks another, incredulously. "We can all speak English, can’t we?"
招式NO.3：早操+体育课
邹老师认为：集体活动可以训练学生的“集体意识”！
但对于自由散漫惯了的英国孩纸们来说，横要成行竖要成列地一起活动是个什么鬼？军队才这么干吧？！
"We'd have morning exercise which lasted around 25 minutes. It's sort of aerobics with classical music we were wafting our arms to.
"I knew people in China did things in rows and it was a bit like the army but I didn't think we'd be doing things like that."
招式NO.4：眼保健操
老师：眼保健操开始，闭眼！
学生：…… （听歌儿才是正经事）
绝杀招式NO.5：请家长+罚站
在邹老师的一节课上，一名叫Josh的童鞋，竟然听着听着就开始用电水壶沏茶！ 老师表示简直无语，把水壶没收了，并使出了所有中国老师们的绝招：请家长！！！
你以为这下Josh该老实了，然并卵，她老妈跟他一样无动于衷…… 认为老师没收水壶是出于对Josh健康和安全的考虑……
在杨老师的自然课上，老师在前面示范试验，有些童鞋完全无视，在下面聊的很嗨。Sophie就是这样的“捣乱分子”，于是杨老师使出绝招：到讲台前面来面壁思过！！
可是Sophie若无其事地站在众人面前笑道：“老师越严厉，我就越想对着干~ ”……
"The stricter the teacher is, the more I want to misbehave," says Sophie, who chats persistently as science teacher Yang Jun demonstrates an experiment at the front of the class. Miss Yang orders Sophie to come to the front of the class and face the wall. The ignominy of such public humiliation would shame a Chinese pupil, but Sophie merely laughs.
无可奈何的招式NO.6：传授中国传统文化
最后……老师战队成员纷纷表示已被这些散漫的学生气疯……只好适当调整授课内容：传授中国文化！扇子舞+包饺子！
学生表示对这些课程很满意。
在经历了“魔鬼式教育”后，英国学生们也发出了自己的心声，大多表示对传统的中国教学方式接受不能，觉得这些中国老师们都讨厌他们（英国人显然没听说过“严师出高徒”），想赶紧回归正常！不过，也有一些学生表示从这段经历中体会到了中国人的专心致志和学习的重要。
"The biggest change was getting used to the expectations. I started off thinking it would be easy, but it wasn't."
"We all had to get used to the teachers not thinking we were good enough."
Rosie says she was glad when the school went back to normal.
"After the second week I thought I was so done with it but it was only a month so I thought I could get through it - but it was difficult.
"I learnt Chinese people are very focussed and it's made me realise education is really important.
"Not that I didn't think that before but it's made me think about it more."
