Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan

Steve Jobs

Come writers and critics

Who prophesize with your pen and keep your eyes wide

The chance won't come again for the wheel's still in spin

And there's no tellin' who that it's namin’

For the loser now will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin'.

Bob Dylan ↓

Joan Baez

Joan Baez

Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan,

Dylan's lyrics incorporate a wide range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences. They defied existing pop music conventions and appealed to the burgeoning counterculture.

His recording career, spanning more than 50 years, has explored the traditions in American song—from folk, blues, and country to gospel, rock and roll, and rockabilly to English, Scottish, and Irish folk music, embracing even jazz and the Great American Songbook. Dylan performs with guitar, keyboards, and harmonica.

His accomplishments as a recording artist and performer have been central to his career, but songwriting is considered his greatest contribution.

The Times They Are A-Changin'

For the loser now will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin'

Come senators, congressmen, please heed the call

Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall

For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled

The battle outside ragin'

Will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls

For the times they are a-changin'

Come mothers and fathers throughout the land

And don't criticize what you can't understand

Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command

Your old road is rapidly aging

Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand

For the times they are a-changin'

The line, it is drawn, the curse, it is cast

The slow one now will later be fast

As the present now will later be past

The order is rapidly fadin'

And the first one now will later be last

For the times they are a-changin'

Bob Dylan

One Too Many Mornings

Down the street the dogs are barkin'

And the day is a-gettin' dark

As the night comes in a-fallin'

The dogs'll lose their bark

An' the silent night will shatter

From the sounds inside my minds

For I'm one too many mornings

And a thousand miles behind.

From the crossroads of my doorstep

My eyes start to fade

As I turn my head back to the room

Where my love and I have laid

An' I gaze back to the street

The sidewalk and the sign

And I'm one too many mornings

An' a thousand miles behind.

It's a restless hungry feeling

That don't mean no one no good

When ev'rything I'm a-sayin'

You can say it just as good

You're right from your side

I'm right from mine

We're both just too many mornings

An' a thousand miles behind.

I've no right to be here

If you've no right to stay

Until we're both one too many mornings

And a thousand miles away

https://v.qq.com/txp/iframe/player.html?vid=z0336bxhn8b&width=500&height=375&auto=0

For having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.

How many roads must a man walk down

Before you call him a man?

Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand?

Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannonballs fly

Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
