Fat Burger Finally Opens in Shanghai!
Fresh, never frozen and grilled right in front of you. That's right, Fat Burger is here! The doors opened on their Sinan mansion location this past weekend. You may even spot Fat Burger President Don Berchtold who is on location this week, ensuring all their burgers taste awesome (and of course, they do!)
They will open a second Fat Burger in the Shanghai Tower in December, any stores beyond that will depend on how the market reacts.
Triple Fat Burger
Burger prices range from RMB 30 (Baby Fat Burger) to RMB 85 (Triple Fat Burger) and it’s an extra RMB 20 for fries and a drink.
They’ve also got their signature milkshakes: chocolate, vanilla or strawberry, all for RMB 50.
This is the first Fat Burger in Shanghai, but not the first in China. They opened in Beijing six years ago and currently have three stores there. They also have a location in Macau, which opened seven years ago.
Fat Burger is known for their fresh, classic American-style burgers. The company was founded in 1952 in Beverly Hills and was once owned by Bob Marley. It achieved cultish notoriety for being mentioned in the Notorious B.I.G. song "Going Back to Cali," as well as Ice Cube’s 1993 hit "It Was A Good Day." It now operates in 29 countries throughout the world, with over 170 stores.
